LETTER FROM GIANNIS SKOULOUDIS FROM AVLONA PRISONS

Early hours of wednesday October 13th during my escape from the parking area of vehicles of the Public Electricity Company, following the arson of some of its cars, I found myself surrounded by cops. After that I was led, with the handcuffs behind my back, to a regular car of the greek police, waiting for the fire to extend as they said, in order to begin my transfer to g.a.th. (police headquarters of thessaloniki).
The moment in time of my arrest constituted also the beginning of the permanent psychological war that followed, with the known tactics of the greek police regarding the handling of such situations. The range was big. From "brotherly" advices of idiots and comments such as " you see enemies we dont" to humiliating characterizations against me and my comrades. From friendly questions in comfortable spaces with orange juice on the house, to long interrogations of a threatening character in a effort to exterminate and offend my dignity. From house raids, to warrants of arrest that aim in the targeting and penalization of my wider friend and comrade cycle. All this in the light of the new and evolved antiterrorist policy.
Right now I am imprisoned in the prisons of Avlona. I realize this position, not so much as a detainee that is persecuted for his actions, but as a prisoner of war that is in a hostage situation in the hands of the enemy. In a space of isolation, role of which is the control and marginalisation of any element that constitutes danger and threat to the regimes plans, is cut off away from the frames of legality, compromise and subjugation, disturbs the normality of social flow and does not comply to its rules. Any element that is not productive in the social web, does not apply rightly the function that has been imposed on it to practise under the dogma of order and safety, and does not contribute to the promotion and maintenance of the humiliating and degrading way of life. Finally, whoever fights, is organised, attacks and aims to the appointment of revolutionary war that comes to shake the foundations of the modern capitalistic world.
I therefore am in favour of this revolutionary war, in favour of the multiform revolutionary process and development, main supplies of which are the refusal of the existing, revolutionary conscience and the need for action, that aims to the total rupture and deconstruction of every system, relation and ethic that oppresses the free person, having already recognized and feeling ready to face the cost of my choices.
For these reasons I take the responsibility for the arson attack, in Thessaloniki on the crossroad road of M.Alexandrou and Edison street, in the parking area of vehicles of the Public Electricity Company. Wanting with this hit to revael one more hostile aspect, one more piece of the government owned mechanism.

SOLIDARITY TO THE 4 COMRADES THAT ARE PERSECUTED FOR THE SAME CASE
COMRADE GREETINGS TO ALL THOSE THAT CONTINUE FIGHTING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE WALLS.

In the early morning of October 13, a van belonging to the Public Power Corporation (DEI) was torched in downtown Thessaloniki using an incendiary device made out of camping gas canisters, gasoline, and a fuse. The vehicle was completely incinerated, but 19-year-old comrade Yiannis Skouloudis was arrested “in flagrante delicto” (“caught red-handed”). That very morning, the same police-media operation we’ve seen so many times began: Pigs raided the homes of comrades and family members, seizing computers, flash drives, and anarchist literature, while reporters celebrated the authorities’ “resounding success.” But the prosecutors and judges didn’t stop there. According to them, “there must be an organization,” so four arrest warrantsFour comrades, ranging in age from 19 to 22, went into hiding. On Friday, October 15, people assembled in solidarity in front of the courthouse where Skouloudis was being arraigned. Minor clashes broke out between comrades and police inside and outside the courthouse, with injuries on both sides (including to Skouloudis’ mother). The courthouse and a nearby police van had windows broken. On Monday, October 18, Skouloudis appeared before a judge and took responsibility for the DEI van arson, but he refused to testify about anything else. The next morning, he was transferred to the Avlona Special Detention Center for Minors, where Panayiotis Masouras is currently locked up on charges stemming from the Fire Cells Conspiracy case.

Dozens of comrades ex appropriated products from Vassilopoulos super market on Surracouseon and lambrini street and gave them out to people in the nearby local market. The action was accompanied by banners, flyers and slogans.

Dozens of comrades went in to the super market of the known chain Vassilopoulos and ex appropriated products while other comrades outside gave out flyers and blocked the road with a banner that wrote “all is stolen all belongs to us”. After that the products were given out to the people that worked and shopped in the local market next door.
About 7 minutes l after cops of the d.i.a.s. Raided the market with their baton in hand with the known macho attitude, and looked for the comrades to apply their class “justice”, eternally subjugated to the guarding of their bosses and their wealth.(that day they were in a special trip because of the case with the letterbombs.)
The whole action has not been mentioned anywhere in the media and its not impossible that the line that will be followed from now on with these actions is the cover up by silence.

Arson attack in Exarcheia, athens

A diy incendiary device made with small gas cannisters was placed by unknown persons in front of a fabric factory on Plapouta and Kallidromiou street, in exarheia area Athens.
From the fire there was damage on the entrance of the building.

Shocking video shows stab victim being repeatedly punched by police sent out to help him U.K.

This is the shocking moment police began beating a restrained man who had been stabbed in the head as he lay bleeding in a park.
Darren Grace had staggered into Liverpool's Stanley Park in the early hours of Sunday, August 1 when three officers at first came to his aid.
However footage shows that as Mr Grace seems to try to resist treatment, one officer rains down a volley of eight punches onto his injured head while a female officer puts her hand on his arm.
Five minutes later, just before 8am, both she and the other officer appear to punch Mr Grace in the head and back as he lies face down on the ground.
The 31-year-old was later charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer - charges which were eventually dropped when Crown Prosecution Service lawyers saw the tape and realised there wasn't enough evidence 'to provide a realistic prospect of a conviction'.

BRUSSELS - Molotov cocktails were thrown against the buildings of the Judiciary Federal Police in Brussels. This was said by the television news of VTM and confirmed by the federal police. The incendiary projectiles were thrown from the Kortenberglaan in Bruxelles against one of the sides of the buildings where the central directions of Federal Police concerning economic and financial fraud (DJF) and of the technical and scientific police (DJT) are. On the wall, traces of the flames of eight meters can be seen. On the inside of the buildings, the damage is limited. The authors are said to have broken the windows. Investigation is lead by the police of the zone Brussels-Ixelles3.11.2010

On Saturday, in Incourt on the other hand, INCOURT - Fire was put to a police car in the Freedom Street. The car was parked in front of the communal house and the CPAS ("social welfare" institution). The fire spread to a van of the communal services parked next to the police car, before damaging also the building of the CPAS. The roof was touched by the fire and all windows exploded.

Brussels - 40 masked people attack police with molotovs

suie e cendres
BRUSSELS - Tension is rising in the neighbourhood of Anderlecht. Police fear that one small spark would be enough to provoke again riots. Last weekend, on Saturday evening, around 40 youngsters, all masked, attacked a police patrol coming back from an intervention with molotov cocktails. Two police cars were destroyed. Although the Federal Police sent in reinforcements, nobody was arrested. Next day it was calmer, but still several police patrols were attacked with stones by small groups of youngsters.
This news only came out when a journalist contacted the union of the police, whining that "the violence against the police has become a banality.

French Supermarket Carrefour blockades in Athens in solidarity with the revolt in France

ttp://en.contrainfo.espiv.net/files/2010/11/Carrefour31.jpg

At 1 o’clock this afternoon, Saturday, November 6th, approximately one hundred anarchists blockaded the front entrances of one of the largest french -owned Carrefour supermarkets, for nearly two hours, here in Athens, Greece. With large banners declaring solidarity with those revolting in France, the group prevented shoppers from entering the franchise Carrefour, while distributed flyers and texts outlining the struggle that emerged in France over two weeks, causing major economic disruptions through massive blockades and strikes, as well as rioting and sabotage. The texts were distributed inside the store and to the workers as well.  Shoppers were not allowed to enter the Carrefour and the group maintained a presence outside the doors, chanting “Solidarity is people’s weapon, make war to the war of the bosses”.In front of banners that read “Strike, Blockade, Sabotage- Resistance Everywhere!” and “Solidarity for those who revolt in France, “anarchists had conversations with passerby and potential shoppers, many of whom expressed their agreement with the action. Afterwards, the anarchists together marched through a nearby street market, chanting anti-capitalist slogans and distributing more information. There they were greeted warmly and with smiles. (In France, during the general strike, there were scattered reports about similar blockades of Carrefour supermarkets happening in order to contribute to the economic blockade there, as well as a re-appropriation action where a carrefour was looted and the products were distributed in a workers march.)
Inspired by the revolt that began to emerge in October in France, anarchists in Athens decided to make an event of solidarity while contributing, in any small way, to a disruption of French economy. This comes in the context where Greece’s socialist government is passing austerity measures and one out of three youth are unemployed while prices are soaring.  However, anarchists are not calling for a reformed capitalist economy or a more sensitive government, but a total destruction of the system, from Greece to France, and, always, through solidarity within the struggle.

Wild clashes when nationalists attack anti-racism festival (Cyprus)

Larnaca, Cyprus – From the Greek media
5 Nov 2010 – Bloody episodes in Larnaca. Violent events unfolded this afternoon on the quay in Larnaca Palm Tree Promenade, between nationalist demonstrators and people attending the annual ”Rainbow” anti-racism festival and ”Cypriots and immigrants united against Crisis” organized by KISA.
First information says there are more than five wounded, one of which may be severe, as he received stab wounds. The nationalists’ front, which consisted of the organization “Greek Resistance Movement”, the PAK and the “Movement for the Salvation of Cyprus” marched shouting abusive slogans against immigrants and settlers, while calling “against illegal immigration”, against “the Islamization of the country,” and for the “immediate abolition of provocative allowances etc. of political refugees.” According to confirmed information a member of the Democratic Party, Zacharias Koula, was there on the side of the nationalists.
Around 19:30 the nationalists started a march at European Square and along the coastal road to the church of St. Lazarus, at a time when people were attending the anti-racism festival in the seaside boulevard and sidewalks and chanting slogans in support of diversity. Police intervention failed to prevent incidents between the two sides. A woman police officer was injured. At least 3 migrants were badly beaten and a young girl received a stone to her head. There were 7 arrests of anti-racists and no fascists arrested, as they were protected by police.
According to eyewitnesses nationalists threw stones, chairs, bottles, sticks, flares and bullets against the anti-racism festival goers, and “did not hesitate to push even young children who were playing at the festival.” An eyewitness who participated in the festival states that “the police instead of protecting us, who were now being attacked in an institutionalized attack on the festival, backed the Nationalists.”

Announcement of the three members of Revolutionary Struggle

In the modern junta of the I.M.F., the E.C.B., the E.U. and the Greek government, methods from the Nazi occupation in Greece are being mobilized. Just like when the Nazis attacked the families and the social environment of the guerrillas in order to isolate them and exterminate them easier, today the modern fascists that govern us target families, friends and comrades of ours and of the three comrades that are in prison accused of participating in “Revolutionary Struggle”, in an operation to terrorize a whole political movement, through new persecutions and mass interrogations.
The aim of our pursuers is revenge for the actions of “Revolutionary Struggle” and our political attitude from inside the prisons, our political isolation and that of our other three imprisoned comrades and the inactivity of the whole subversive movement through the imposition of a special hostage regime on a number of comrades.
Its of decisive importance the need to not let them terrorize fighters, do not allow the re-folding of the struggle for liberation. We should immediately go on the counter-attack. Anyway, the dominators are those who have been discredited politically and socially by the vast majority of the Greek society, while the fighters that fight for freedom, is the hope for the oppressed of this land, that are slowly dying under the yoke of modern totalitarianism of capitalism, market economy and representative democracy.

Should ever be forgot.

'Twas his intent.
To blow up the King and the Parliament.
Three score barrels of powder below.
Poor old England to overthrow.
By God's providence he was catch'd,
With a dark lantern and burning match
Holloa boys, Holloa boys, let the bells ring
Holloa boys, Holloa boys, God save the King!

Burn him in a tub of tar,'
Burn him like a blazing star.
Burn his body from his head,
Then we'll say: ol'Pope is dead.

Third Night Of Rioting In Doncaster Prison ‎ u.k.

Prisoners moved after riots: official
LONDON — More than 250 prisoners have been moved from Moorland prison near Doncaster to other jails after three nights of rioting in which several prisoners and staff were injured, the Prison Service said Friday.
Extra staff have now been deployed to keep the peace and a "high-level investigation" has been launched into the unrest at Moorland, Prison Service chief executive Michael Spurr said.
"We have a good record of maintaining order and security in our prisons and are therefore taking these incidents extremely seriously in order to learn lessons," he said in a statement.
The rioting broke out in the young offenders unit, housing men aged 18 to 20, on Tuesday night when about 40 prisoners refused to return to their cells after a fight broke out.
In the subsequent violence, three staff were assaulted and a female officer sustained a fractured jaw.
On Wednesday night riots broke out again, causing one prisoner to be hospitalised with head injuries. Riot officers intervened and the following day, 86 prisoners were moved to another jail.
On Thursday night the violence spread to the adult wing, and one prisoner was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Another 166 prisoners were moved to other jails in the nearby area.

Prison officers hurt in rampages
More than 100 inmates have gone on the rampage in riots at two young offenders' institutions, the Prison Service has said.
Officers in riot gear were needed to restore order after at least five prison officers were injured, including a woman who suffered a fractured jaw, in the riots in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, and Woodbridge, Suffolk, which started on Tuesday night.
Almost 50 inmates needed to be transferred to other young offenders' institutions across the country after about 100 prison places were lost as a result of the damage, the Prison Officers' Association (POA) said.
About 60 offenders aged between 15 and 18 refused to return to their cells at Warren Hill, in Woodbridge, Suffolk, at about 7.30pm on Tuesday, said a Prison Service spokeswoman. Officers in riot gear, known as Prison Service Tornado response teams, entered the prison at 5.40am and the situation is now under control, she added.
"The juveniles offered no resistance and will now be relocated elsewhere in the prison estate," she said on Wednesday. "Two staff were injured in the incident. Three juveniles are being treated for minor injuries. An assessment of the damage done to the wings will be carried out later today."
The riot was prompted when a number of inmates were prevented from having free and unfettered access to the telephone and leisure facilities following incidents of alleged bullying of other juveniles, said the POA spokesman.
"They reacted with venom, causing significant damage to the prison and two prisoners being hospitalised with a number of staff injured whilst trying to deal with the riot," he said. "This is the third serious incident this year at Warren Hill which has had to be dealt with by prison officers, this time resulting in a damaging loss of prisoner accommodation."
Tom Robson, acting national chairman of the POA, said: "The level of violence in our prisons is totally unacceptable and this incident is not uncommon in our juvenile and young offender establishments. We are seeking an urgent meeting with the regional custodial manager to look at resolving these issues and preventing further violence and damage to prison property, which will all result in significant costs to the taxpayer."
In the unrelated incident at Moorland prison in Hatfield Woodhouse, Doncaster, more than 40 young offenders refused to return to their cells after a fight broke out at about 7pm on Tuesday. Tornado response teams were called in at about 1am and the prisoners "offered no resistance".
Three members of prison staff were assaulted, including a female officer who sustained a fractured jaw, and significant damage was caused to the recreation area and cells in the riot which took place during a period of association, the POA said. A number of suspected ringleaders have been segregated.

Yet another anarchist refuses to appear before the public interrogator to testify for the “Revolutionary Struggle” case

translation from the anarchist blog Resalto.
Following Katerina and Lida Sofianou, E. Vlachou is the third comrade who refuses to appear before the public interrogator who called her to testify as a “witness” for the “Revolutionary Struggle case”.
So far, at least 24 people have been called for such “witness statements”, who are either comrades, friends or relatives of the accused for participating in Revolutionary Struggle – or even, because of unbelievable inklings, such as a finger-print in a book or a communique in one of the houses of the arrested. This is clearly a widening of the capacities of the repressive manipulative tactics, with post-civil war-type invitations: “we require you to attend regarding a case of yours”.
The stance of the three comrades shows the capacity, both at present and in the future, for richer and more collective refusals against the crystal-clear intention-attempt of the state to criminalise political, personal or family relations and the anarchist/ anti-authoritarian movement as a whole. Following the path of the struggle for social and personal emancipation, with jumps out of the society-prison, it continues even inside the state chambers, it does not converse with the executioners of life and envisions a world that is free, without exploitation or submission.

Chile - Words of Monica Caballero in solidarity with anti-authoritarian prisoners of the world

culmine

31/10/2010 - Political prison is a daily act for the Chilean State as for any other, in that, as the comrades living in the lands dominated by the State of Ecuador expressed well, "insensitivity to distance is also the product of the dominant culture that has drawn imaginary lines on maps, making us feel distant and different."
We must recognise solidarity as a weapon against all States and capital, we cannot, as anti-authoritarians, fight only the authority that interferes in the place where we live, because then the enemy would win another battle.
In the world anyone who dares question the sacrosanct social peace so loved and enjoyed by citizens, is locked up. All the strange, the sick, the abnormal, the misfits already have a place reserved between huge walls where the good workers won't see them and many cameras will observe their movements. For the inhabitants of these structures of punishment they can expect the justice of capital, supported by the universal religion of devotion to democracy and the rule of law.
Anti-authoritarian solidarity must be a constant exercise, which at times does not neglect the offensive.
Greetings to fellow prisoners for the Animal and Earth Liberation in Mexico, vegans: Abraham, Socorro, Adrián and Braulio.

A big insurgent hug to the people of the territory dominated by the Greek State; to Kostas and Nikos, currently on hunger strike. And to all those who have taken a position in the war against all forms of domination, any place on the planet.

Seven arrested as police clash with 'illegal rave' crowd in London

Seven people were arrested after an operation by police to halt a suspected illegal rave in central London descended into violence.

Police were called out to the party in a disused eight-storey building in High Holborn shortly before midnight on Saturday.
Police had to let the rave go ahead (PA)
Officers asked the 500-strong crowd to disperse, but a number of people at the rave responded angrily and they were forced to call in back-up.
Partygoers then clashed with riot police, with bottles and bricks thrown, and buildings and cars damaged.
Police detained seven people on suspicion of public order offences before eventually deciding to let the rave continue.
Officers remained in the area to supervise the event and ensure there was no further trouble. The party was still in progress when dawn broke on Sunday morning.
Two members of the public and one police officer were taken to hospital following the violent exchanges, while a number of other officers received treatment for cuts and bruises.

he report says the last contingent of ravers left at 4.15pm on Sunday, about 18 hours after the party started.
It said one 'organiser' had told the paper: "There will be a big resurgence of this sort of thing because of the economic situation. It’s mirroring what happened in the last recession."

Switzerland - media hype for the bomb at the embassy in Rome

culmine

31/10/2010 - translation from German by Marco Camenisch. Article taken from "20 Minutes", a free newspaper of the German-speaking Switzerland, 13 or October 14, 2010, news quickly picked up by national TV teletext.

ROME / BERN. The Swiss Embassy in Rome is in turmoil: in front of the door an incendiary bomb was found. There may be left-wing extremists behind the attack. The incendiary bomb was deposited on the night of October 5 on the wall that surrounds the Swiss Embassy in Rome. Although it did not explode, it has caused great concern. The embassy immediately called the Italian police. The latter have opened an investigation. According to the spokesman of the Department for Foreign affairs, the embassy had received no warning. There is talk of a "rudimentary incendiary gimmick". For further information, we are referred to the police of Rome. The spokesman reacted angrily to the questions of "20 Minuti" and says "There were bottles filled with a flammable liquid. Behind the attempted attack there would be left-wing extremists. On similar forums, they say they regret that the incendiary bomb did not explode. Near the embassy there would be a sign demanding the release of "Billy, Silvia Costa and Marco" - those left-wing extremists who were allegedly planning the April attack on an IBM laboratory in Rüschlikon. Two of them are Italian. Also included is Marco Camenisch, who since the late '70s, has participated in several attacks on high voltage pylons. All four are in Swiss prisons. Although the bomb did not blow up, these actions are, according to the expert on these environments Samuel Althof of the special clinic for the prevention of extremism and violence, to be taken seriously. "Often extremists on the left use minor actions to send a message to announce a possible escalation of violence." article from 20 Minuten http://www.20min.ch/news/schweiz/story/31367204

Greek Police Arrest 2 After Parcel Bomb .......

All information so far is coming in from corporate media and is therefore extremely difficult to be checked for its accuracy. More, reliable info as it comes. A courier company employee was slightly injured this morning in the neighbourhood of Pagrati, in Athens: a booby-trap bomb exploded in her hands; the letter supposedly had the embassy of Mexico in Greece as its recipient. Following the injury, police have arrested two male men aged 22 and 24, which according to the police were carrying a package with two home-made explosive mechanisms and two GLOCK-type guns. The two bombs were allegedly addressed to the Belgian Embassy in Athens and to the French president, Nikola Sarkozy. Following the arrests and further police investigation, another trapped letter was found in the offices of a different courier company in the same neighbourhood; this letter had the embassy of the Netherlands in Greece as its final recipient.

Greek police detained two men after a parcel bomb exploded at a courier company in the Athens neighborhood of Pangrati, injuring an employee.
The men, aged 22 and 24, were carrying two suspected parcel bombs addressed to the Belgian embassy in Greece and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, according to an e-mailed police statement. The suspects, identified as Greek nationals, had two pistols and ammunition. One was also wearing a bullet-proof vest and was carrying a wig, according to the statement.
Police arrested the suspects after receiving a description of a man who delivered the explosive device to the courier company in Pangrati, according to the statement.
The parcel that exploded was addressed to the Mexican embassy. The injured woman received burns on her hands and was taken to hospital.
Another parcel bomb was also detected at a separate courier company in Pangrati, addressed to the Dutch embassy. The bombs found on the suspects and at the second courier company were neutralised by a controlled explosion, police said.
No claim of responsibility has been received for the attacks. The 22 year-old suspect is wanted for participation in the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire urban guerrilla group, the police statement said.
On June 24, a security guard was killed by a parcel bomb at the country’s police ministry in Athens. The bomb was intended for the Minister of Citizen Protection.
