New Year’s Prison Noise Demo – Vancouver canada

Posted: January 3, 2011 by antiprisonvancouver in Action, New Years Demo

On December 31, 2010, we held a noise demonstration at the Fraser Regional Correctional Centre, in Maple Ridge. We acted as part of an anarchist international New Years Eve tradition against prisons and the world that needs them.

About 25 people arrived at the prison in a rented bus. We walked up close to the fences blaring music towards a temporary outdoor prison wing being used until they open a new wing of the prison. Screws (prison guards) lined up between us and the fences. In front, a banner read “Against All Prisons, For Freedom.” We shot off fireworks and flares, sparklers were raised with helium balloons and we chanted “The passion for freedom is stronger than all prisons”, “Fuck prison”, and “No borders no nations, stop deportation”. We also shouted “Happy New Year!” to the prisoners.

Prisoners shouted and cheered from both the temporary wing and the prison building. We saw silhouettes of prisoners banging on the windows and a couple prisoners were actually able to come outside and view us from behind the fence in the temporary wing.

A short statement was read through a microphone:

“We are here today to express solidarity with the prisoners inside. To tell you that you are not alone that those of us in the outer walls are saying fuck prisons, down with every prison wall. We want you to know that while everyone else tonight is celebrating another year in the prison world, we are here to celebrate a future without prisons. A world where we don’t rely on the pigs or institutions to solve our problems for us. A world where we are truly responsible to each other, where we no longer have to live in fear of the punishment distributed by the real thieves, gangsters, and murderers!

Fuck the system! Fuck the screws! Fuck Canada!

Tonight all around North America, people are holding noise demonstrations outside of prisons because we will not go silently into their dungeons in ever increasing numbers, just as we will not go silently tonight while they catalog and warehouse you! Solidarity!”

While leaving our vehicle was stopped by the 6 police cars. No one was identified. The driver was directed to drive us back directly to East Vancouver cutting short our plans to go to other prisons.

Many of us were inspired by the shouts from the prisoners. Prison walls are supposed to impose isolation. Instead, the meaning of those walls was subverted, they became a meeting place and a vehicle of communication.

Today we had further cause for celebration, we just learned that on December 30th, three prisoners escaped while on a prison slave crew near a large park in Maple Ridge. According to corporate news the (ex) prisoners were serving 9-10 month sentences. If you see them be sure to buy them a drink!

As long as prisons exist they are a shadow that hangs over us all and no one is free.

FOR THE TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF THE PRISON WORLD!

SOLIDARITY WITH OUR IMPRISONED COMRADES ROGER CLEMENT, JOHN GRAHAM AND ALEX HUNDERT! SOLIDARITY WITH ALL PRISONERS WHO WANT TO BREAK THEIR CHAINS!

Sabotage in (Vancouver) Coast Salish Territory18/12/10

18/12/10  FROM http://anarchistnews.org/?q=node/13035
In the early morning hours
The community policing station on Commercial Drive had its locks glued.
The probation office on Commercial Drive had its locks glued. (Incidentally the same one John Graham was forced to report to before his extradition to the United States.
The TD Bank on Broadway and Naniamo had its ATM'S smashed out. These small acts of sabotage were inspired by the street revolts all over Europe. How much we all yearn to express our desires and solidarity openly on the streets.
Also by our collective anger for the existence and imposition of prison and prison world on our comrades.
Destroy the banks! sabotage the systems of social control!

Montreal PQ – Sodexo Factory Attacked

* news.infoshop.org
On a recent evening the Sodexo factory in Montreal, Province of Quebec, was attacked with rocks and spraypaint. Sodexo is a company which manufactures and distributes food to prisons across Canada.
This act is a retaliation against the industry and apparatus of imprisonment but also an expression of solidarity, with all prisoners but especially with Roger Clement, recently sentenced to 3.5 years for an attack on a Royal Bank of Canada, John Graham, an indigenous prisoner against the colonial state and Giannis Dimitrakis, jailed in Greece for his activity as an anarchist against the state, serving 25 years.

Seattle: Banner Dropped in Solidarity with Anti-State Struggles Everywhere

Remember the 6th of December!

Early this morning, during rush hour traffic, we dropped a banner over highway 99. The banner reads, "POLICE VIOLENCE IS NO ACCIDENT. COPS ARE KILLERS."

We of course recognize that this is a small, symbolic act. We simply wish to demonstrate that the fires that burn today--the two-year anniversary of the murder of Alexis-- in the streets of Greece are fires that burn within us as well. Let's bring fuel to the flames.

Solidarity with the struggle in Greece today and always.
Solidarity with the American comrade viciously attacked by the thugs of the Delta squad.

Solidarity with Roger Clement on the day of his sentencing.

Solidarity with the Asheville 11 on the occasion of their plea hearing.

For John T. Williams and all victims of the police, locally and everywhere. Against the state and its guard dogs. For anarchy!

Anarchists set off smoke bomb in cop bar--Portland, OR

Tags:Action

In the predawn hours of December, 6th 2010, to mark the two year anniversary of the murder of Alexandros Grigoropoulos in Exarchia, a smoke bomb was ignited inside the Portland Metro Police Club (618 SE Alder st.)--a private bar, ballrooom, and athletic facility operated by the Portland Police Association. We did this to articulate our utter contempt towards the police, and our hatred of the state and capitalism in general.

This act of sabotage was a gesture of revolutionary solidarity with the imprisoned anarchists of the Conspiracy Cells of Fire in Greece, The Asheville 11, Christos Stratigopolous, the recently released Alfredo Bonanno and all those resisting state repression everywhere.

Fire to the cops, bosses, and politicians!

For anarchy and communism!

Greek Solidarity Protest in San Francisco on November 27th

On November 27th, 2010, protesters organized a response to the violence of the Greek police force in recent demonstrations in that country against the austerity measures being forced upon the country by the International Monetary Fund.

At one of the recent anti-IMF protest in Athens, Greece, an US Anarchist was brutally beaten by the Delta Force, a special police division for anarchists and immigrants. Although she suffered serious injuries, she is expected to fully recover. In the following days as more protests continued in Athens (marking the anniversary of the Junta), several other Greek comrades were brutalized by the Delta Force. The march was organized to express outrage and solidarity with all comrades in Greece and to highlight the worldwide plague of policing.

In addition, the rally was intended to show that police in the United States are no better than their Mediterranean counterparts. In the Bay alone we've seen the murder of Oscar Grant and Derrick Jones in Oakland, Michael Lee in the Tenderloin and countless others before them.

Wells Fargo Attacked In Berkeley

During the first hours of Thanksgiving Day, the front windows and door were smashed out of the Wells Fargo on College Avenue. This was done for Oscar Grant. Normality stops only when it is interrupted. On Black Friday, the people shopping on the avenue will see the topmost windows of the bank boarded up.
Solidarity to the sisters of London, Alfredo, and the people of Oakland. Omnia est communia.

Guadalajara, Mexico - bomb at the Secretariat of Guadalajara Rural Development

culmine

9/11/2010 - Mexico - Guadalajara, Jalisco - Alarm was recorded this Sunday night outside the building of the Secretariat of Rural Development, after an explosive device was detonated. The blast caused damage to the windows of the apartment and one of the walls, no pedestrian was struck in the attack.
The object consisted of three cylinders of butane gas, attached to a steel pipe filled with gunpowder, all triggered by a fuse.
The boom (similar to that of a grenade), which was noted by vigilantes, was caused by one of the containers which, with the explosion, triggered a blaze that destroyed a window and an adjacent wall. It is suspected that the attack was perpetrated by a radical environmental or anti-globalization group.
Now the Procurator of State Justice will pass to the control of the security video recordings to try to identify those responsible. The private security guard who watches the building told the SSPE State police that he just saw a man of about 30 years get out of a truck and approach the place where the bomb was detonated.

Electronic pay machines stolen in continued sabotage of parking meters

10.12.2010

Irate drivers may have found one way to deal with Chicago's new parking meters.
Twenty of the 200-pound electronic parking pay machines have been stolen throughout Chicago since Sept. 17, police department spokesman Roderick Drew said in an e-mail. It isn't known how much cash may have been taken from the stolen machines, he said.
Four of the pay machines have been recovered, Drew said.
Drivers who paid for parking with a credit card shouldn't be concerned about their information being stolen because the machines don't store credit card numbers, Drew said.
Although the thefts have been reported citywide, nearly half have occurred in the Grand Central Area on the Northwest Side, he said.
"Area 5 Detectives have been working with LAZ Parking to address this issue. Residents who witness vandalism or suspicious behavior should call police immediately," Drew said.
Police are still investigating, he said.
Nearly two years ago, the city signed a 75-year parking meter lease with Chicago Parking Meters LLC that led to soaring rates and initial troubles with jammed, broken and error-prone meters that angered many drivers.
Avis LaVelle, a spokeswoman for Chicago Parking Meters LLC, said in a statement she could not confirm the reports of thefts.
But she added, "Theft or destruction of pay boxes and meters is regarded as a very serious offense and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
If a driver comes across a parking spot with a missing pay box, he or she should find another nearby box, LaVelle said.
If there is no box, the driver can park, then should call the customer service line of meter operator LAZ Parking at ... to notify the company of the missing box. That call is used as "documentation of defense in the event of a possible citation," LaVelle said.

Until all are free: Two political prisoner support events in the valley this week.

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

State repression is nothing new to anarchists, it has been a facet of revolutionary and liberatory movements throughout history because, let's face it, systems of power react with hostility to those who desire a reordering of relationships. We saw this earlier this year with the notorious police attack on the DO@ bloc, resulting in a large number of people near the bloc being hit by pepper spray, and five Phoenix anti-authoritarians and anarchists getting arrested and facing a number of serious charges. We also have six other comrades who locked down at the Border Patrol HQ in Tucson and are still facing charges for their act of resistance to the militarization of land and movement along the border, they too need our support.

The further we look back, the longer and longer the list gets of our anarchist and anti-authoritarian comrades who are locked up or facing trial across the country. Some of the most notable examples from the last few years are also the most outrageous examples of the lengths the state will go to disrupt our movements' activities, from the resistance to grand juries on fishing expeditions, to the criminalization of organizing protests, and the distressing pre-crime conviction of Eric McDavid.

Keeping our comrades' spirits high while locked up means that they need support from those on the outside, and I'm glad to help get the word out about two events happening this week that are supporting political prisoners.

Above is a flier for a new political prisoner support event being held tonight in Phoenix, organized by our friends at Stronghold, this event will help those attending network and share information on writing to and supporting political prisoners. This event kicks off at 6:30 at Conspire in central Phoenix.

The second event this week will be held in Tempe as the Phoenix Anarchist Coalition (PAC) is once again sponsoring a 5k Running Down the Walls event this year. PAC has maintained a longtime political prisoner support fund, and has organized a number of events to support and get the word out on our comrades locked up for nearly 10 years. For the last few years PAC has organized a solidarity run/walk/ride with other events organized by the political prisoner support organization, the Anarchist Black Cross Federation (ABCF), all funds raised at this run will be sent to the ABCF for their prisoner support Warchest. It is scheduled for Saturday Oct. 16 at Mitchell Park in Tempe, people will be gathering at 5:30pm. Organizers request that you bring your favorite (preferably vegan) covered dish as there will be a potluck picnic after getting back to the park from the 5k.

Waves of property damage -- Frederick, MD

A rash of vandalism in Frederick-area neighborhoods in recent weeks has left dozens of vehicles defaced, numerous tires flattened and windshields cracked, houses egged and buildings spray-painted.

A little more than a week ago, vandals even removed a 4-foot-tall statue of St. Jude from its post at an Emmitsburg church and smashed it into pieces. St. Jude is the patron saint of lost causes.

The church crime was only one of 234 destruction of property cases reported to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office from Aug. 1 to Sept. 27, according to Cpl. Jennifer Bailey.

"Property crime seems to be what we're responding to most often," including burglaries, vandalism and destruction of property cases, Bailey said.

Damage resulting from those crimes ranged from a small amount of money to hundreds and even thousands of dollars to repair.

"Fifty dollars to replace a mailbox may seem insignificant to some people. But for others, it's not," Bailey said. "That $50 might be their family's grocery money, and without it, they might not be able to eat."

The vandalism isn't confined to just the county. During those same eight weeks, the Frederick Police Department took 156 reports of destruction of property, Capt. Kevin Grubb said.

Maryland State Police responded to 25 property crimes in Mount Airy and Walkersville, Detective Sgt. Wayne Wachsmuth said. Police in Brunswick took 31 reports and police in Thurmont, 12.

Midweek last week, police in the City of Frederick were hard-pressed to recall any recent property damage crime sprees.

And then the weekend arrived -- and so did the vandals.

Fifty-three tires on 31 vehicles were flattened. "Some cars lost all four," Grubb said Monday.

"A line of people were calling, and it's unfortunate," he said. Not only did they suffer a financial loss for towing fees and for the damage they had to repair, but they were inconvenienced as well by temporarily not having the use of their vehicles.

In August and September, deputies responded most often to Emmitsburg, which had 15 reports. They took 14 complaints each in New Market and Mount Airy and 13 reports from Middletown.

Calls to Frederick mailing addresses outside the Frederick city limits numbered 111, Bailey said.

Town officials in New Market warned residents to keep an eye out on their property -- and their neighbors' property -- and to report anything out of the ordinary to the sheriff's office.

Mailboxes in the small town were destroyed, and lawns were damaged by cars, officials wrote in the town's newsletter.

Bailey said the sheriff's office has been receiving a number of tips since the creation of the agency's Facebook page.

"All calls get assigned to a deputy for follow-up investigation, and areas with repeat calls are put on a patrol checklist," she said.

It's not unusual for Bailey, when reviewing reports each morning, to see at least one, two or three cases of vandalism.

Property crimes are hitting county communities on a daily basis, she said.

Last Wednesday morning, Bailey found seven reports had been filed about vehicles that had had tires slashed or windshields broken along Robin Drive. Reports continued to accumulate until the number reached 17.

Dennis Ebaugh, the facilities manager at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Emmitsburg, was startled when he reported to work about 8 a.m. Sept. 20 and realized the St. Jude statue was missing from the garden between the church rectory and parish center.

The statue hadn't been stolen. The crime was more senseless than that, he said.

The statue, which weighed at least 100 pounds, had been pulled off its stone base and carried around to the side of the building.

"Somebody busted it up," he said, estimating it will cost in the neighborhood of $400 to replace.

The sheriff's office arrested two teenage boys last week in one morning's rash of vehicle vandalism cases along Black Duck Court.

Vandals damage Democratic campaign office in Modesto

Oct. 04
Vandals smashed several windows at the Stanislaus County Democratic Central Committee headquarters late Friday or early Sunday.
Committee Chairman Mike Burtch said vandals destroyed five of the 11 windows of the building at 500 Scenic Drive. “This was not some drive-by,” he said. “It was a concerted effort. One (window) is safety glass and they worked very hard to smash through it.”
The committee filed a police report and is waiting to hear from its insurance company for a damage estimate.
The windows displayed signs for Democrats running for office or re-election, such as Sen. Barbara Boxer.
Burtch said the vandals did not enter the building and nothing was taken.

Protesters, police clash over L.A. immigrant death

22 arrested as crowd protests knife-wielding man's fatal shooting by officer

LOS ANGELES — Protesters on Tuesday night pelted a police station with eggs, rocks and bottles despite Police Chief Charlie Beck's plea for calm earlier in the day and his promise to thoroughly investigate an officer's fatal shooting of a Guatemalan immigrant wielding a knife.
Police reported 22 arrests late Tuesday, mainly for failure to disperse and unlawful assembly, Officer Karen Rayner told The Associated Press. Officers fired at least two volleys of nonlethal foam projectiles at demonstrators, she added.
The demonstrators, including families with children, bolted down the street and into alleyways as the shots were fired, The Los Angeles Times reported. During the ruckus, witnesses told the Times, a man fell off his bicycle and struck his head.

Condo development attacked, bank sabotaged in Seattle

www.anarchistnews.org/?q=node/12133

A Bank of America's atm slots were superglued, and a nearby vacant condo development was decorated with graffiti reading:NO CONDOS, NO PRISONS, FOR CHILE (A)
An outside hose was also left running into a sliding door in order to flood the lower level.
DWELL Development tears down existing homes and replaces them with expensive "eco-friendly" condos that further the gentrification of Seattle's neighborhoods. We find it ludicrous that these condos are located mere blocks from one of the most recent sites of Nickelsville, Seattle's tent city. And, in a world of dying ecosystems, the construction of "extremely energy efficient and environmentally friendly" condos means absolutely nothing.
Bank of America is one of the three joint financial advisers (including Merrill Lynch and Barclays Int.) for GEO Group Corp. The GEO Group Corp. is a private prison firm that is paid millions by the U.S. government to detain undocumented immigrants and other prisoners. This corporation runs the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma.
We hold no illusion that these acts of sabotage will cause these corporations to financially collapse tomorrow. Instead, we attack in order to bring about a small rupture in the social fabric of our daily lives, allowing us to express our own personal rage, and knowing that to remain on the offensive is crucial to both our struggle and our spirits.
In solidarity with all prisoners,
In solidarity with our comrades facing heavy repression in Chile,
In solidarity with the victims of police violence in Seattle and everywhere,

Mexico massacre: 72 bodies found piled in a room

Mexico city:  Mexico's navy on Thursday released footage of the location where the bodies of 72 people were discovered on Tuesday in the northern state of Tamaulipas close to the US border.

A wounded Ecuadorean survivor said the massacre had been carried out by a Mexican drugs cartel.

The injured man escaped and stumbled to a highway checkpoint where he alerted marines.

The 58 men and 14 women were killed by the Zetas gang, the migrant told investigators on Wednesday.

The gang, started by former Mexican army special forces soldiers, is known to extort money
from migrants who pass through its territory.

If authorities corroborate the story, it would be the most horrifying example yet of the plight of migrants trying to cross a country where drug cartels are increasingly scouting shelters and highways, hoping to extort cash or even recruit vulnerable immigrants.

The marines fought the cartel gunmen at the ranch in San Fernando on Tuesday, a battle that left one marine and three suspects dead.

They then found the 72 bodies in a room, some piled on top of each other, a government security spokesman, Alejandro Poire, said.

Officials said the man, Luis Fredy Lala Pomavilla, identified himself an illegal migrant and said that he and other migrants had been kidnapped by an armed group and taken to the ranch in San Fernando, a town about 100 miles (161 kilometres) south of Brownsville, Texas.

The migrant told authorities that his captors identified themselves as Zetas, and that the migrants were from Brazil, Ecuador, El Salvador and Honduras.

Poire said the government was in contact with those countries to corroborate the identities of the migrants.

The Ecuadorean Embassy in Mexico said it was in contact with the surviving migrant, Luis Freddy Lala Pomavilla, and was trying to find out if any of its citizens were among the dead.

Marcio Araujo, Brazil's consul general in Mexico, said documents found at the scene indicated at least four of the dead were Brazilian.

Consular officials for El Salvador said they had no immediate information on whether any Salvadorans were among the victims.

The marines seized 21 assault rifles, shotguns and rifles, and detained a minor, apparently part of the gang.

Authorities said they were trying to determine whether the victims were killed at the same time - and why.

Poire noted migrants are frequently kidnapped by cartel gunmen demanding money, sometimes contacting relatives in the US to demand ransoms.

The Zetas so brutally control some parts of Tamaulipas that even many Mexicans do not dare to travel on the highways in the state.

Many residents in the state tell of loved ones or friends who have disappeared travelling from one town to the next.

Many of these kidnappings are never reported for fear that police are in league with the criminals.

The region has been besieged by a turf battle between the Zetas and their former ally, the Gulf cartel.

Mexico's drug violence has surged since President Felipe Calderon dispatched soldiers and federal police to root out drug traffickers from their strongholds in northern Mexico and along the Pacific coast.

More than 28,000 people have been killed in drug-gang violence since the offensive began.

300-plus G20 suspects to cram Toronto courthouse

Aug. 23
More than 300 people charged with offences relating to the G20 protests will be appearing in a packed Toronto courthouse Monday.
The scene is expected to be a chaotic one as the suspects, their families, supporters, lawyers and various other protest groups and demonstrators descend on the courthouse in north Toronto.
It is expected to be one of the largest mass court appearances the city has ever seen.
All of those appearing in court Monday have already been called before a judge in recent months to face their charges, and were told to return to court today.
A table has been set up outside the courthouse, and those who arrive are being assigned a colour-coded card indicating one of three courtrooms where they are to appear.
At one point Monday morning a bus from Quebec, apparently carrying a group of people charged with G20 offences, pulled into the courthouse parking lot.
There will be no trial proceedings Monday. Instead, those charged will receive disclosure about the allegations against them and information about the next step in their legal proceedings.
It is expected to take hours for the judges in the various courtrooms to get through their dockets.
Toronto Police G20 investigator Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux said Sunday the goal is to process as many people as possible.
“If you’re out (of custody) you’ll be appearing. If you’re in you’re appearing physically, in custody or by video,” he said.
Most of those appearing Monday were arrested at a protest at Queen’s Park on June 26 when police stormed the area and rounded up dozens of suspects.
Some suspected ringleaders are also appearing Monday. They are charged with conspiracy to assault and obstruct police.
About 20 others who were rounded up after police released photos and asked for help from the public, will also appear Monday.

Bomb Goes Off at Chile Shopping Mall, No One Hurt

August 20th, 2010
undefined
SANTIAGO – No one was injured Thursday when a homemade bomb went off in the underground garage at a shopping mall in the Chilean capital, police said.
Three other bombs were found and defused, according to a report from the Carabineros, Chile’s militarized national police.
Left at the scene were leaflets referring to special prosecutor Alejandro Peña’s case against 15 anarchists accused of carrying out more than a score of bombings over the past few years.
A court in Santiago ordered Tuesday that eight of the 15 suspects in that case be held pending trial.
Six other defendants were allowed to remain at liberty, but ordered not to leave the country and to stay away from each other. The 15th suspect, Gustavo Fuentes Aliaga, is already in jail in connection with other offenses.
The court gave prosecutors 180 days to complete the investigation of the 23 bombings covered by the indictments.
The attacks targeted banks, the offices of foreign companies, embassies, churches and police stations, mainly in Santiago. The sole fatality was an anarchist killed when a bomb exploded as he was transporting it on a bicycle. EFE

Represive strike in Chile: 17 house raided and 14 companions kidnnaped by the power

x Translate of Liberacion Total http://www.lahaine.org/index.php?p=47438

Translator's Note: The translation may have errors in spelling or wording.

Agents of the BIPE (Police of Investigation) and the ERTA (equivalent to the SWAT) on the other side agents of the GOPE (Especial forces of the Normal Police), LABOCAR (CSI) and the deparment of inteligence of the police and a series of helicopters and police cars whas the armory who used the police for the 17 raids, in Santiago and Valparaiso, during the dawn on the Saturday 14 of August. Between the 17 houses 3 are Squats and Socials Center being the squats La Crota Bike Punk and the Squat Social Center and Library Sacco and Vanzetti in Santiago downtown and the Autonomous Social Center Jhonny Cariqueo in the Pudahuel municipality. Two houses were raided in Valparaiso.
The excuse for this police operation falls in the “Bomb Case”, and 23 of the attacks with explosive registred in Santiago, according with the police version would have direct links with those arrested.

The first raid was in the squat La Crota Bike Punk by the GOPE where the result was 6 companions arrested. Of the six detainees were kidnapped three, a female comrade with arrest warrant and for the other two the police inveted traces of TNT in his hands.

Then was the turn of the SSC and Library Sacco and Vanzetti, by the ERTA and the BIPE where they take out the metalic grid of the window with a police car. The agents also realized shootings whit rubber bullets, hiting the body of two companions. From this space were arrested 5 companions and one remain kidnnaped.

At the same time was raided the ASC and Libertary Library Jhonny Cariqueo in the Pudahuel municipality, in this space the police breaking in smashing access doors and no one was arrested.

Also the police raided 14 particular houses, 12 in Santiago and 2 in Valparaiso.

With a total of 17 raids realized by the defenders of the order and 14 companions kidnapped.

Formalization of the hostages.

This Saturday around 16:00 pm the companions where brought before the 11º Santiago Court Guarantee where the southern prosecution recuest extend the detention until next Tuesday, 17 August, where they would be concluded by "installation of explosive or incendiary devices and terrorist conspiracy" (law made by Pinochet), question which the Ministry of Interior would also make part risking 20 years. During the hearing, demonstrated once again the circus nature of the Chilean courts. Judge Lidia Bruna agreed to each and every one of the requests of the Prosecutor and the Ministry of Interior (press presence, extending the period of detention for three days, insolition of the companions amog themselves and the outside, and also the order to bring the police collaborator Gustavo Fuentes "El Grillo" to the audience next tuesday, to formalize with the rest of the alleged members of this "terrorist conspiracy." The vultures of the bourgeois press were all in the courtroom and fired their flashes once the judge gave the signal for the guards to enter the companions.
The arguments of the defensory were heard and denied one after another. The judge had everything ready for each resolution automatically read it with her voice of old bitch of a paper above his deck. When they ask to a companion if they had reclaims to do in relation to detention, he said he had been repeatedly threatened with death, and she responds “that’s all?”. Neither seemed to attract much attention the story about the destruction of particular houses of the companions. The Prosecution justify the injuries cause by the police to a companion of the Sacco and Vanzetti (a rubber bullet in his head and a kick on the nouse) in the fact it would have looked out a window of the building throwing things and destroying evidence, thing that the companion denied this version inmeditly calling of “Imaginative”, was reprimanded for showing disrespect to prosecutors. So beating and threatening people with death and rupture unnecessarily houses is part of normal that judges uphold, but any questioning of the repressive apparatus can not take place in this circus. This lady continued with the same attitude when defense counsel had talked about an "orchestration" between the different media to blame ours comrades.

When it became clear that the show was already ceasing to continue on Tuesday at 9:00pm, began to feel the cheering of support, very welcomed by the spirits of our companions. Canvases spread outside the courtroom, were sung songs of support ("Free the prisoners to fight"), the expression of the old fascist lady was of disgust and horror, some bodyguards immediately surround the prosecutor Alejandro Peña. After wrangling between those who went to support our comrades with two types of police dogs (police and press), the fascist judge made another signal that the 14 comrades were taked inside and then, from the cells area, came a contingent furious policemen armed with sticks and shields, which flew over the banks of defendants and lawyers with the clear intention of beating up friends and relatives of the detainees. Of course, the bourgeois press has noted that all the comrades who came to support, as bad as the accused, attacked the press and other guardians of the capitalist order, but the truth is that the aggression came from the guards, while police and journalists beat many people savagely, and outside the enclosure were joined by riot police launching a manhunt that was not intended to arrest any one but to punish directly. The companion Luisa Vergara was closed with a traumatic brain injury, the mother of one of the detainees had minor injuries caused by a fucking journalist, and luckily most of the windows of this shit temple (courts) were destroyed to be used against the officers. Also, several journalists were beaten and their cameras damaged. No companion was arrested but many were beaten by the agents.

Once outside of the courts the companions found out that the SSC and Library Sacco and Vanzetti was being closed for a joint operation by the two police deparments. During the afternoon, the building had been guarded by a truck from the PDI (Police Of Investigation), whose occupants at first denied the entry of a group of companion, but later agreed to let in and take some things, warning that there was an order not to leave the building were reoccupied. Hours later, at about 18:30, police had entered the squat and were carrying out work to close all access. The Library and all the other things that were not seized (this time took little in the raid) remained sequestered there. The police did not exhibit any eviction order or anything, and said it was orders of the prosecutor. They also said the squat would be recovered by their legitimate owners, the ISP (Internal Revenue Service). A quick operation that took them by surprise yielded a number of books that were put to safe, sparking a short police chase in the area without any one arrested.

14 Suspects in 23 Bomb Attacks Nabbed in Chile

August 15th, 2010

undefined
SANTIAGO – Fourteen people were arrested Saturday on suspicion of taking part in at least 23 bomb attacks on various districts of Santiago, officials said.
The capture of the suspects, known to have ties to anarchist groups, took place in three simultaneous raids carried out in the wee hours of Saturday in Santiago and Valparaiso.
Most of the suspects were arrested in downtown Santiago, while others were nabbed in other districts of Santiago and in the nearby city of Valparaiso.
Besides detailing the number of arrests, the prosecutor of the case, Alejandro Peña, also said that another hideout was raided in the Santiago suburb of Pudahuel.
According to Gen. Bruno Villalobos of the intelligence agency of the Carabineros militarized police force, “scientific” evidence exists of the connection between those in custody and the succession of attacks that for several years have been perpetrated in Santiago and other cities.
Among the evidence pointing to their guilt were traces of TNT on the hands and clothing of three of those under arrest, according to the prosecutor, who added that there is other proof that implicates “six” of the suspects as perpetrators of the attacks.
The raids were carried out by Carabineros agents with helicopter support.
Only three of the detainees have been identified up to now: Pablo Morales, Rodolfo Retamales and Andrea Urzua.
The first two are former members of the Lautaro Group, a far-left organization that fought against the 1973-1990 dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, while the woman was caught several years ago trying to smuggle explosives into a jail in the Argentine city of Neuquen, where some of her friends were imprisoned.
“This culminates a long, wide-ranging work of investigation that allowed us to catch a significant number of those involved in assembling and installing explosive devices,” Gen. Villalobos told reporters.
For several years, Chile has been hit by attacks with low-power homemade bombs using fire extinguishers filled with explosives and claimed in many cases to have been the work of anarchist groups under different names.
The most recent bombs, which were defused by police before exploding, were planted in a restaurant on Aug. 6 in the affluent Santiago neighborhood of Vitacura and, the day before, in a plaza near the summer residence of Chile’s presidents in the city of Viña del Mar.
Some time ago a special prosecutor was appointed to investigate the attacks, which up to now have taken the life of a young anarchist, who was blown up and killed last year by a bomb he was carrying in his backpack while bicycling down a street in Santiago.
Those in custody were taken to a police station and are to appear before a court that will define the procedure for their trials.
According to Peña, the detainees will be accused “of the crime of illicit terrorist association and of planting explosive devices in order to spread fear among the population.”
Chilean Interior Minister Rodrigo Hinzpeter considered the operations “very good news for the government and principally for Chilean men and women.”
