The authorities found the device and cordoned off the area around the Athens administrative court after calls to the private television station Alter and the daily newspaper Eleftherotypia at about 7:40 a.m. warned that a bomb would go off there in 40 minutes.
“In both cases, the caller said the device had been strapped to a scooter outside the courthouse and gave the scooter’s registration number,” said an officer at the Athens police headquarters who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to comment publicly. “The explosion occurred two minutes after the deadline,” the officer said, adding that police bomb disposal experts had gathered the remnants of the device and the vehicle and were examining them.
A local resident told the private television station Skai that he had seen two men dressed in police uniforms pull up near the court building on a motorcycle about 6:30 a.m. The witness said he greeted the men, who told him they were abandoning the scooter because it had engine problems. According to the witness, the pair then got into a white van parked nearby and were driven away by a third person.
The explosion damaged the facade of the court building as well as several cars, and also blew out windows in nearby apartment buildings.
The caller who provided the warning in the Athens bombing was described as a man speaking clearly in Greek. The blast occurred in a densely populated area in the city’s Ambelokipi district, shattering windows and nearby shop storefronts in a 200-meter (yard) radius, and seriously damaging at least 10 cars. It sent up a cloud of smoke that was visible across the city.
Police said the bomb was stored in a hard luggage case in the back of a motorcycle reported stolen in a nearby area of Athens several hours earlier.
An initial examination of the site, suggested that the explosive Anfo — a mixture of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil used in construction but also in improvised explosive devices — was used, police investigators said. The material has been used in the past and seized in police raids in recent months on suspected militant safehouses.

Parcel bomb sent to the Greek Embassy in Rome. It is intercepted and defused.
“We’re striking again, and we do so in response to the appeal launvced by our Greek comrades the actforfreedomnow.blogspot.com/2010/11/international-call-out-by-conspiracy.html
“For this reason we’re sending this new attack to a structure that represents the Greek state and its servants, in solidarity with our comrades arrested in Athens and the Conspiracy’s project which, like ours, is based on the action and method of revolutionary violence.”
Rome, Italy - Suspect package disabled at Greek embassy
"The package was similar to the ones at the other embassies," Maurizio Mezzavilla, an official of the carabinieri, Italy's paramilitary police, told reporters outside the embassy, and said that anarchist involvement "could not be ruled out."
Police were called to the Venezuelan, Danish, Monaco, Kuwaiti and Albanian embassies and the Finnish embassy to the Vatican but found only harmless parcels.
But the discovery at the Greek mission highlighted a real threat.
"A suspect package arrived. We immediately informed the carabinieri who arrived immediately and neutralized the bomb," Michael Campanis, the Greek ambassador to Italy told reporters.
He said the package, addressed by hand, arrived in the embassy on December 24.
"We had not received any threats previously. The packet arrived on Friday afternoon when the embassy was already closed. The staff member found it this morning but security measures had already been stepped up," he said.
Last week, an Italian anarchist group called the Informal Anarchist Federation (FAI) claimed responsibility in a note for the parcel bombs at the Swiss and Chilean embassies.
Rome, Italy - The boy wounded at the Chilean embassy is Cesarfrom informa-azione
we have received and are forwarding a few lines of an e-mail received in recent days:
"The Chilean boy wounded by the letter bomb is Cesar. A comrade and a friend involved with the experience of Ciclofficina Popolare (people's bike workshop) of the Ex Lavanderia (the former laundry).
We found out today.
Suddenly, for us, the natural compassion for an injured person is no longer tempered by anonymity.
Behind this story of national importance there is a person whose name, face and voice we know.
Now Cesar is in hospital, with two fingers less and we are angry.

Anarchist squat evicted in the city of Patras; ten detained Maragopouleio occupation raided in Patras
The building, which officially belongs to the Ministry of Health, had been abandoned for several years; according to the prosecutor that ordered the eviction, the Ministry has lodged a complaint. So here we have a bankrupt state and its pathetic loyal servants, that wait for the holidays to come in order to fight back the “no.1 internal enemy”: those who give life to abandoned buildings and provide neighborhoods spaces for collective political expression and action. Here we see a ministry of health that has left the NHS to its fate (in order to sell it off) but miraculously finds the time to show interest in buildings that have been abandoned for years when they eventually become spaces of social importance. Repression is becoming all the more intense in Patras; we have recently experienced brutality in demos, houses of comrades have been raided under the fashionable “antiterrorist” pretext. You don’t scare us, you infuriate us!! Solidarity to occupations
More info as it comes.
UPDATE 10.25 AM The ten people arrested at the Maragopouleio squat have now been released. They have all been charged with a misdemeanor (“disruption of public peace”) and will be facing a trial.

Every day many of us look for info and news on the net about social conflict: stories of struggle, strikes, occupations, riots in the streets, the prisons and detention centres, action communiques, or theory to enrich our analysis. Each seeks what they need in their struggle for their own emancipation, aware, however, that the Internet is not a neutral tool.
First, the call for subscription begins with a phrase that has a knack for getting us angry, "We are not writing to you today to tell you about the dark procedural maze in which justice is seeking to enclose some of us, and we are still trying to get out of.” Good thing you were not talking of your strategy any-means-are-good defence, of the cynicism that characterizes your media appearances. Good thing you do not throw back in our faces your dirty scale attitude, explaining to honourable anti-terrorist judge that instead of arresting you, he should have explored "the German trail” (leading to arrests and interrogations in Germany). To explain to the whole world that you're just nice intellectuals and drawing room philosophers who only discuss the world around the fire, daisies in their hair, proclaiming your innocence everywhere while comrades bet to assume all the possible terms and categories of the enemy, languishing in the hole at the same time as you did. And we pass over your media community front with deputies, senators, mayors, judges, cops etc.. to scrape the bottom of the barrel of the left and find a new republican and citizenship cause for your vile characters. It is indeed tempting to imagine this sturdy one wearing glasses, in jeans and red sweater that the State accuses of being a dangerous terrorist, but who serves you a chocolate cake, especially since when we were younger we loved batman. "All means are good for getting our friends out of prison," it was said, in that case you only have to denounce or denounce your other friends for the alleged acts.
"If we have moved to Tarnac it is of course for its old tradition of resistance to central authority, popular mutual aid, and rural communism that survived there. "You forgot to mention that if you installed in Tarnac it's also because Gerard Coupat, having amassed his fortune in small death laboratories of the pharmaceutical industry, graciously offered you a property and a few companies. But is Gerard broke now? So it's now up to us to fund your "grocery-bar" and "workers' meals" at 12 € as you presented them to your friends in show business a few months ago. But we know that you are "athletes of the mind", you will find out a way to get a few young people who lack perspectives who at other times would have swelled the ranks of a Woodstock or Krishnas to swallow all that.

A Fighter is dead but our fire will not die out…
Because remember that whatever violent action against these promoters of inequality, is entirely justified through centuries of infinite violence that we have been been subjected to by them. .. Arm yourslef and combat the terrorism - burn, conspire, sabotage, and be violent, beautifully violent, naturally violent, willingly violent.'
Early this morning, our brother Mauricio Morales died. He carried an explosive which detonated in his back pack, he died on the spot. It is assumed that the disgusting institution of the Gendarmerie was the aim of his attack. He died as a fighter, without fear, without hesitation, confronting every form of power.
He decided to turn his hatred into action. He transformed his life into a constant fight against the existent. Publications, direct support to imprisoned comrades, spreading of anarchist and anti-authoritarian literature, spreading of ideas were part of the daggers he sharpened during his life. In this way he wanted to contribute in different ways to the destruction of this society based on the logic of power and exploitation.
In these moments our hearts are filled with pain, but it is important to not lower morale, to not fall down in the lethargy that the loss of a comrade can engage. We cannot forget that he died with his eyes fixed on his aim. And this fact must shake us, must help us to open our eyes.
We are at war, the strikes will be many, but that’s how it is for a fighter that doesn’t stop, doesn’t bow his head; that makes her life, among other things, into a constant surmounting of obstacles.
The harshness of death strikes us and is such a whirlpool that sometimes we can barely believe what is happening. Death or prison is not only a slogan, today for us, those words are tattooed with blood and fire.
With the terrible departure of Mauri, police, magistrates and press rub their hands together and make their first moves. Two social centres, Cueto con Andes and La Idea were raided. The violence of these operations doesn’t surprise us, the war has been unleashed without mercy, and we assume it as such.
The raided houses are in the same neighbourhood where we are. We saw the procession of repression arriving at our house. At the same time, comrades and solidarious approach the house and demonstrate in different parts of the neighbourhood, which is now militarised. We confronted them, we resisted and until now, the repressive forces didn’t want to enter our house, in spite of the predictions. They hide their game and try to lower our guard.
Comrades, we are very clear and know what will happen. We know that the coming days and months will be difficult. But we also know that the pain and the sadness of the departure of our comrade may not paralyse us. Let us insistently remember that he died in struggle, that the offensive takes different forms, where one form is not more valuable than the other. Let us move so that the beautiful flame of his anarchist heart propagates the irreducible desire to annihilate this reality.
His body is now captive in the hands of the cops and their mercenaries, but the energy of his life stays with us, with the comrades that have fought with him and fight in different ways against everything that

The first police van was attacked with stones and forced to flee. Then a lot of pigs seized the area and found small resistance.

In the early morning hours
The community policing station on Commercial Drive had its locks glued.
The probation office on Commercial Drive had its locks glued. (Incidentally the same one John Graham was forced to report to before his extradition to the United States.
The TD Bank on Broadway and Naniamo had its ATM'S smashed out. These small acts of sabotage were inspired by the street revolts all over Europe. How much we all yearn to express our desires and solidarity openly on the streets.
Destroy the banks! sabotage the systems of social control!

22 December 2010 -
As can be expected, the bourgeois press reported that this protest corresponded with a prison riot by inmates, when in fact it was a protest denouncing the conditions of the prisoners in this particular jail. (As tensions increased the protest augmented and within hours the prisoners announced a prison riot, with family members participating outside the jail.)
At about 12:00 noon, a group of prisoners broke with the established order and routine and scaled the wall and prison bars leading to the roof the prison, once on the roof the prisoners dropped banners and shouted slogans relating to the poor infrastructure of the prison and the treatment that prisoners receive at the hands of the prison pigs.
At this time visitors (mostly niños/as and adult women) were already waiting for the visiting hours to start. As the number of family members augmented they began to demand that they visit the inmates as to find out about the state of their jailed family members, that they were ok, and to find out what exactly was going on inside the prison. That's when the pigs started to get aggressive. Contrary to the what the press reported, until this moment none of the filthy pigs that represent the prison assassins had appeared. The press said that, the authorities were on the scene and that and everything was under control.
At about 2 pm, the journalists arrived and began to ask questions that had nothing to do with the reality that was going on at the moment. The journalists were insulted and finally expelled from the area where the family members were protesting.
It was then that the people protesting outside the prison had had enough, they began to throw rocks, sticks, bricks and anything they could find at the pigs they found before them. The pigs in the water tanks and the submissive firefighters also received some presents from the crowd. On top of all that the prison walls were decorated with slogans in solidarity with the prisoners.
An informal walk through the centre of Antofogasta on Monday, December 20 was held in solidarity with prisoners. With the help of a microphone we were able to make our voices heard, screaming chants against the prison system and infavour of prisoners' "rights" as basic human rights and commenting on the abusive and humiliating things that visitors are subjected to. We also screamed chants against the criminalization of anarchists and social warriors in general. We screamed that, as comrades, we are all sequestered, murdered and disappeared by the state, that the state hasn't ceased with its tortures and that political prisoners didn't disappear along with the dictatorship of "Pinoshit."
In the same protest we informed the public about the torture of Mapuche children and the montage the state/press is constructing to hide the reality of the continued raids, torture and disappearances the Mapuche have had to live through. We also spoke about the repressive situation in Rapa Nui where the Chilean government is reclaiming hectares of land and of the immigrants who in the majority are trafficking drugs, prostituting themselves and begging for money.........
We also spoke about the current situation of our 14 comrades/friends/brothers, 6 of whom are out on bail. Black flags of anarchy, the red and black flags of the anarcho-communists, and the green and black flags of the anarcho-ecologistas, flew high during the entire walk. During the speeches we remembered our fallen comrades and those assassinated by the Chilean state, comrades like; Claudia Lopez, Alex Lemun, Rodrigo Cisternas, Jonny Cariqueo and others. Also, we painfully remembered with rage our comrade and friend Mauricio Morales Duarte Punky Mauri who died in combat against authority.
The walk in and of itself lasted 3 hours, beforehand no one was arrested but after the act two people were detained and interrogated being set free a few hours later.

“My name’s ‘Go fuck yourself’”: words for the judge after an attempted cop-killing (UK)From mainstream media:
“A man charged with the attempted murder of two police officers was remanded in custody today after hurling abuse from the dock. Unemployed John Paul Onyenaychi, 30, is accused of stabbing Pc Paul Madden, 23, and Piotr Dolata, 27, a police community support officer (PCSO) on Wednesday (15/12/10). The two officers were injured at a bus stop in New Broadway in Ealing, west London. PCSO Dolata’s life was saved by a quick-thinking doctor who was passing by and was able to stem the bleeding. Onyenaychi, of east London, was also charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm against a second PCSO, Steven Constable. Surrounded in the dock by 10 police officers at Brent Magistrates’ Court, Onyenaychi refused to confirm his name, date of birth and address before launching into an expletive-filled tirade.
Shouting at District Judge Margot Coleman when asked for his full name, John Paul said: “My name’s ‘go fuck yourself’” …. When his solicitor Aneurin Brewer appeared in court, he continued: “You’re not my ******* solicitor. You’re not representing me.”
The hearing continued in Onyenaychi’s absence after District Judge Coleman ordered he be taken back to the cell, before telling Mr Brewer, ‘He was being extremely abusive and I’m not prepared to tolerate that behaviour in my courtroom.’
There was no application for bail and Onyenaychi was remanded on two counts of attempted murder and one count of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. He will appear at the Old Bailey on March 25. PCSO Dolata was released from hospital after being treated for his injuries while Pc Madden remained in a ‘serious but stable condition’ after undergoing surgery. The officers, who were based in Ealing Borough, were checking bus fares when they were attacked at around 3pm on the busy shopping street.’”
Time was passing by and while I was still getting no answers, at a certain point towards nighttime I heard from a nearby area a newscast talking about arrests (men-women), guns, explosives, terrorist lairs and so on. The scenario that had been already constructed hours before our adduction, was now taking shape.
Later, while I was still tied up facing a wall and deprived of any communication or eye-contact with anyone, I demanded a chair to at least sit, which they gave me. Some hours later, I heard from outside the room some people saying “let’s see him now”. The door opened, the hooded guards turned me to face it and left. Their place was taken by others who tried to interrogate me. In their typical questions, and in their prompt to make a conversation that “might help me in my present state”, and in their asking me to provide “explanations to ease my situation”, the only answer I gave was that I wanted to know if I was accused of something and talk to my lawyer or otherwise, to be let go. After insisting for a while they commented “he is not cooperating” to each other and left the room. Their place was then taken by a hooded man and a more “pleasant” guy, who suggested I didn’t turn back to the wall and to chat for a bit instead. I gave him the same answer and I turned to the wall myself. Some hours later I heard some voices saying “he is going”. They got in, untied me and said “take your stuff, you’re leaving”. While I was gathering my stuff I repeatedly asked about Christos, for whom they told me he is being held.
And if the state has decided to annihilate its political enemies by fabricating culprits and suspects, the journalists have undertaken the dirty work of slander and social isolation of those who are targeted.

Anarchists solidarity protest outside Korydallos prison, the main prison in Athens, at the time of the change of the year. This protest happens every New Year's Eve for the past six years. This year more than 400 people took part in the protest that interacted with the prisoners inside through shouting mutual slogans and fireworks. The main slogan was "The passion for freedom is stronger that your prisons".
A society that punishes/the condition of incarceration/the prison of the mind/the prison as punishment/the rage of the damned will sound on the ruins of prisons/those denying obedience and misery of our era even within its hellholes/will dance together on the ruins of every last prison/with the flame of rebellion avenging whatever creates prisons.
