greetings from Denmark! Some 13 police squad vehicles, patrol cars and unmarked police cars went up in flames during the night (may 14th) at the Police Academy in Brøndby (a suburb of Copenhagen). A neighbour to the Academy called the police after hearing an explosion at the school and three vehicles in flames. By the time the fire service arrived at the scene, a further 10 were in flames. The vehicles were in a compound at the rear of the complex and it appears that those responsible had also attempted to set fire to several garbage containers at the front of the building. |
It remains unclear how the cars were set alight and neighbours say they had not seen any suspicious people in the area around the compound.
--There is an anti-police demonstration in Copenhagen next week, should be fun!
