Responsibility claim for attack with incendiary device on restaurant in thessaloniki, 25/12/10 “Our day will come, our day will come” Bobby Sands Or has it come? Gone is the days when the politicians toured the cities and villages promising the growth and the prosperity of our land accepting claps and handshakes. Gone are the days when the cops went around care-free without bulletproof vests, with the gun secured and chilling outside the Police Stations and the “hangouts” of the city. Gone are the days where the journalists were next door people “compassionate” and “understanding” the problems of the people. Gone are the days where the judges and public prosecutors gave out the sentences and the years as if they were chick peas. Gone are the days where the snitches were the proud informal cops of social prosperity. Gone are the days…. Gone are the days…. What goes around comes around. The day came where the politicians will get beaten wherever they are (if they are) and bloody they will run to save, not their political career but their life. The day came where the cops will go around in groups of ten, they will hide in the police sations behind bulletproof windows and when they go to look after a witness of a case they will not know if they will return home at night. The day came where the journalists will think very well before putting the pen to the paper. The day came where the judges and the public prosecutors will accept as many parcels as the the years they give out. The day came where the snitches will not expose but will be exposed. The day came… The day came… Here we are With the repression, the terrorism and with more than 30 prisoners and 10 persecuted the battle is not lost, neither finishes but it continues with each one of us counting forces and re striking wherever this is possible. Everywhere. From militant protests with stones and bottles to the haters of our freedom up to bomb attacks on banks, homes of politicians and government buildings. From spontaneous attacks against uniformed pigs up to organized attacks in the centre of the city. From the incendiary attack on a car dealership in Maroussi up to the mailing of bombs to the embassies of Switzerland and Chile in Rome. Again and again remaining in the substance, that of aggressive mood whatever means, quantity individual towards this rotten existence that surrounds us. Until the destruction of everything. Participating thus to the call of Warriors of Revolutionary Conscience we placed on the 22/12 an incendiary device in the restaurant Pyrofania in the area of Stavroupoli, Thessalonici, a known hangout of cops where they enjoyed also the 15% discount that is offered to them by the shop in question. Finally we greet the imprisoned comrades Giannis Skouloudis and the 2 for the Nadir case, as well as the 4 persecuted (Sokratis Tsifkas, Babis Tsilianidis, Dimitris Fessas, Dimitris Dimitsiadis) We should set the terms. SOON A BOOK OUT FOR OUR COMRADE Mauricio Morales. IN ENGLISH!!!
A Fighter is dead but our fire will not die out…
Arm yourself and be violent, beautifully violent, until everything explodes
Because remember that whatever violent action against these promoters of inequality, is entirely justified through centuries of infinite violence that we have been been subjected to by them. .. Arm yourslef and combat the terrorism - burn, conspire, sabotage, and be violent, beautifully violent, naturally violent, willingly violent.'

Arm yourslef and combat the terrorism - burn, conspire, sabotage, and be violent, beautifully violent, naturally violent, willingly violent.'
- Mauri
Early this morning, our brother Mauricio Morales died. He carried an explosive which detonated in his back pack, he died on the spot. It is assumed that the disgusting institution of the Gendarmerie was the aim of his attack. He died as a fighter, without fear, without hesitation, confronting every form of power.
He decided to turn his hatred into action. He transformed his life into a constant fight against the existent. Publications, direct support to imprisoned comrades, spreading of anarchist and anti-authoritarian literature, spreading of ideas were part of the daggers he sharpened during his life. In this way he wanted to contribute in different ways to the destruction of this society based on the logic of power and exploitation.
In these moments our hearts are filled with pain, but it is important to not lower morale, to not fall down in the lethargy that the loss of a comrade can engage. We cannot forget that he died with his eyes fixed on his aim. And this fact must shake us, must help us to open our eyes.
We are at war, the strikes will be many, but that’s how it is for a fighter that doesn’t stop, doesn’t bow his head; that makes her life, among other things, into a constant surmounting of obstacles.
The harshness of death strikes us and is such a whirlpool that sometimes we can barely believe what is happening. Death or prison is not only a slogan, today for us, those words are tattooed with blood and fire.
With the terrible departure of Mauri, police, magistrates and press rub their hands together and make their first moves. Two social centres, Cueto con Andes and La Idea were raided. The violence of these operations doesn’t surprise us, the war has been unleashed without mercy, and we assume it as such.
The raided houses are in the same neighbourhood where we are. We saw the procession of repression arriving at our house. At the same time, comrades and solidarious approach the house and demonstrate in different parts of the neighbourhood, which is now militarised. We confronted them, we resisted and until now, the repressive forces didn’t want to enter our house, in spite of the predictions. They hide their game and try to lower our guard.
Comrades, we are very clear and know what will happen. We know that the coming days and months will be difficult. But we also know that the pain and the sadness of the departure of our comrade may not paralyse us. Let us insistently remember that he died in struggle, that the offensive takes different forms, where one form is not more valuable than the other. Let us move so that the beautiful flame of his anarchist heart propagates the irreducible desire to annihilate this reality.
His body is now captive in the hands of the cops and their mercenaries, but the energy of his life stays with us, with the comrades that have fought with him and fight in different ways against everything that

Sabotage in (Vancouver) Coast Salish Territory18/12/10
18/12/10 FROM http://anarchistnews.org/?q=node/13035 In the early morning hours The community policing station on Commercial Drive had its locks glued. The probation office on Commercial Drive had its locks glued. (Incidentally the same one John Graham was forced to report to before his extradition to the United States. The TD Bank on Broadway and Naniamo had its ATM'S smashed out. These small acts of sabotage were inspired by the street revolts all over Europe. How much we all yearn to express our desires and solidarity openly on the streets. |

22 December 2010 -
Protest by inmates of Antofagasta prison inside the prison and riots outside the prison
As can be expected, the bourgeois press reported that this protest corresponded with a prison riot by inmates, when in fact it was a protest denouncing the conditions of the prisoners in this particular jail. (As tensions increased the protest augmented and within hours the prisoners announced a prison riot, with family members participating outside the jail.)
At about 12:00 noon, a group of prisoners broke with the established order and routine and scaled the wall and prison bars leading to the roof the prison, once on the roof the prisoners dropped banners and shouted slogans relating to the poor infrastructure of the prison and the treatment that prisoners receive at the hands of the prison pigs.
At this time visitors (mostly niños/as and adult women) were already waiting for the visiting hours to start. As the number of family members augmented they began to demand that they visit the inmates as to find out about the state of their jailed family members, that they were ok, and to find out what exactly was going on inside the prison. That's when the pigs started to get aggressive. Contrary to the what the press reported, until this moment none of the filthy pigs that represent the prison assassins had appeared. The press said that, the authorities were on the scene and that and everything was under control.

Thanks to the support from the outside and the call to revolt from within the prison, prisoners screamed nonstop slogans against the pigs, the press and Power.
At about 2 pm, the journalists arrived and began to ask questions that had nothing to do with the reality that was going on at the moment. The journalists were insulted and finally expelled from the area where the family members were protesting.
It was then that the people protesting outside the prison had had enough, they began to throw rocks, sticks, bricks and anything they could find at the pigs they found before them. The pigs in the water tanks and the submissive firefighters also received some presents from the crowd. On top of all that the prison walls were decorated with slogans in solidarity with the prisoners.

Solidarity in Antofagasta
An informal walk through the centre of Antofogasta on Monday, December 20 was held in solidarity with prisoners. With the help of a microphone we were able to make our voices heard, screaming chants against the prison system and infavour of prisoners' "rights" as basic human rights and commenting on the abusive and humiliating things that visitors are subjected to. We also screamed chants against the criminalization of anarchists and social warriors in general. We screamed that, as comrades, we are all sequestered, murdered and disappeared by the state, that the state hasn't ceased with its tortures and that political prisoners didn't disappear along with the dictatorship of "Pinoshit."
In the same protest we informed the public about the torture of Mapuche children and the montage the state/press is constructing to hide the reality of the continued raids, torture and disappearances the Mapuche have had to live through. We also spoke about the repressive situation in Rapa Nui where the Chilean government is reclaiming hectares of land and of the immigrants who in the majority are trafficking drugs, prostituting themselves and begging for money.........
We also spoke about the current situation of our 14 comrades/friends/brothers, 6 of whom are out on bail. Black flags of anarchy, the red and black flags of the anarcho-communists, and the green and black flags of the anarcho-ecologistas, flew high during the entire walk. During the speeches we remembered our fallen comrades and those assassinated by the Chilean state, comrades like; Claudia Lopez, Alex Lemun, Rodrigo Cisternas, Jonny Cariqueo and others. Also, we painfully remembered with rage our comrade and friend Mauricio Morales Duarte Punky Mauri who died in combat against authority.
The walk in and of itself lasted 3 hours, beforehand no one was arrested but after the act two people were detained and interrogated being set free a few hours later.

POSTER SOLIDARITY TO GIANNIS DIMITRAKIS
GIANNIS DIMITRAKIS TRIAL UPDATE SENTENCED ANNOUNCED 23/12/10 Today was announced the final sentence at the court of appeals for comrade Giannis Dimitrakis. The sentence after the fusions is 12,5 years of imprisonment (less than the 35 years he got at the first trial). All together he was found guilty for the robbery in the national bank on Solonos str, (7 years imprisonment), guilty for mental support in the attempted homicide of the guard of the bank (6 years imprisonment), guilty for participating in a gang (4 years imprisonment), guilty for using a gun (2 years imprisonment). He was not recognized with mitigations but with the fusion of the sentences the final sentence is 12.5 years. The sentence he has to serve is 3/5 so Giannis Dimitrakis has to serve 7.5 years. He has already served almost 5 years. The room was full of supporters, that burst out in slogans and clapping after the announcement of the decision. The presence of the cops was discreet without EKAM (greek special forces) and masked ones as at previous trials. The speeches and points made of the defence lawyers were remarkable and they didn't speak of a "victory" ofcourse but for a "proportional sentence that corresponds the charges" The comrade was led again to prison with his fists raised and in the next days he is expected to be led to Domokos prison from the prisons of Koridallos where he was kept temporarily for the trial. LETTER FROM THE SPECIAL BASEMENT O THE 6TH WING OF KORIDALLOS PRISONS ( ATHENS GREECE)
Since the 29th of November, we the three political prisoners of the underground special wing 6 of Koridallos, defendants for the case of Revolutionary Struggle, participated in the mobilizations of the prisoners of all prisons which either with prison food abstention, or with hunger strikes fight for the improvement of certain provisions of the C.C. (Correctional Code) regarding the leave days, the probations and disciplinary matters, decent treatment and improvement of the detainment conditions, the abolition of certain draconian penal provisions, special detainment conditions, reduction of the life sentence as well as the release of disabled prisoners and cancer patients.
In the frames of these demands it is also claimed that the special antiterrorist legislations that occasionally have been voted are abolished, with most recent those that passed in August that the “progressive” Kastanidis passed secretly and where its allowed for anonymous witnesses to testify in trials of cases of armed revolutionary organizations and “organized crime” as well as the penalization of violent action of demonstrators in mass mobilizations as “terrorist actions”.
Is not not accidental the situation in which they passed these two provisions since the present minister of “Justice” Kastanidis participates in a government of traitors of the Greek people that executes the commands of the lenders of the international economic elite.
It is natural that along with the application of the Memorandum, the repression of the state for the defense of the regime since they await social explosions that can put at risk its existence itself.
Also among the demands of the prisoners is the abolishment of the special regime of detainment of political prisoners whether its the special wing in the F.P.K. (female prisons of koridallos) where are detained the sentenced for the 17N (17November organization), or the basement of the 6th wing.
The 6th wing is an isolated small wing and the basement in which we are kept has 8 cells of 2 people.
The 6th was a building - warehouse which was transformed into a detainment space in 2002 when the 17N arrests happened.
For many months, the arrested of the 17N experienced a regime of isolation where they were locked in the cells 23 hours a day, without free access to information and correspondence, while to the courtyard - grave 20 x 10 meters that sees only to the sky through a barbwire, they came out 1 hour 2 people at a time and with the escort of a prison guard.
Even though this special regime was abolished, the basement of the 6th continues to function despite all the insufficiencies of the building infrastructure in air, lighting and the big tightness of space since outside the cells only a narrow corridor 10 x 2,5 m for the prisoners to walk.
As anyone can realize we have the same space that the domestic animals have in a cage or in a pen.
To the basement of the 6th, the prison authorities sends either prisoners like us political, with the decision of the ministry, or prisoners that are branded dangerous (e.g. to escape) and are sent here for isolation, or prisoners which have problems with other prisoners from other wings.
Despite all this, recently, the prison authorities have crammed 20 detainees in the basement of the 6th, putting a third person in the cells of two, which slept in the floor while the maximum capacity is 16 individuals in such a narrow space.
On Friday the 10th of December in the afternoon, some of us protested this situation to the sergeant on shift who although justified us regarding that this situation offends human dignity, declared to us he cannot do anything because there is no other space to put the extra prisoners.
After few hours and just before the prison closed, we were informed that the minister of “Justice” of the troika, Kastanidis, is visiting the prisons of koridallos to “discuss” with a “delegation” of detainees the demands which have been placed with the mobilizations that are taking place all over greece in all prisons.
Then we decided the 19 prisoners of the basement, with common defiance, to deny to enter the cells at 8.00pm in the evening as sais the regulation of the prison and we demanded that the minister himself to come and visits the basement of the 6th and see the situation for himself.
Since we realize that the minister came to koridallos in order to make another political “communication funfair” meeting with a non-existent “elected self-organized committee of struggle”, we denied as it was proposed to us by the prison authorities that 2 individuals go as representatives of the basement of the 6th and we insisted that he should come down to the basement and that we will not enter the cells if he does not come. We had no intention to “discuss” with someone that, because of his political identity, the fake promises and the “i will” is his profession, e.g. he had promised when he was in the opposition to abolish the “hoodlaw” (law which says that if you cause damage while wearing a hood or mask, its a terrorist action) while now as minister of the troika of the International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank. and the E.U. applies even more draconian laws.
Naturally our demand that the minister comes to the basement of the 6th was not accepted either because the “honorable” minister denied, or because the sergeant denied to transmit our demand.
We then decided that we are not going to enter the cells all night if the basement of the 6th is not relieved of the overcrowding, which means the transport of the extra prisoners, something that finally happened at 11.30 at night.
Nothing of course guarantees that we will not have similar situations in the future.
The obvious that we demand is dignity and this consists the abolishment of the basement of the 6th wing, the abolishment of the special division where they keep the sentenced of the 17N, the abolishment of every special regime of detainment for any category of prisoners, while we support all the demands of our fellow prisoners that participate in the mobilizations.
The most and real criminals are not behind the prison walls. The real robbers and murderers, those that rob the greek people, that plunder the wages and the pensions, those that deprive the care and health, are in the “Megaro Maximou” (maximou mansion, the greek equivalent of the white house, in the ministerial offices, in the seats of parliament, in the bourgeois districts, in the villas and in the luxurious offices of the bankers, the businessmen and the shipowners.

“My name’s ‘Go fuck yourself’”: words for the judge after an attempted cop-killing (UK)
From mainstream media:“A man charged with the attempted murder of two police officers was remanded in custody today after hurling abuse from the dock. Unemployed John Paul Onyenaychi, 30, is accused of stabbing Pc Paul Madden, 23, and Piotr Dolata, 27, a police community support officer (PCSO) on Wednesday (15/12/10). The two officers were injured at a bus stop in New Broadway in Ealing, west London. PCSO Dolata’s life was saved by a quick-thinking doctor who was passing by and was able to stem the bleeding. Onyenaychi, of east London, was also charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm against a second PCSO, Steven Constable. Surrounded in the dock by 10 police officers at Brent Magistrates’ Court, Onyenaychi refused to confirm his name, date of birth and address before launching into an expletive-filled tirade.
Shouting at District Judge Margot Coleman when asked for his full name, John Paul said: “My name’s ‘go fuck yourself’” …. When his solicitor Aneurin Brewer appeared in court, he continued: “You’re not my ******* solicitor. You’re not representing me.”
The hearing continued in Onyenaychi’s absence after District Judge Coleman ordered he be taken back to the cell, before telling Mr Brewer, ‘He was being extremely abusive and I’m not prepared to tolerate that behaviour in my courtroom.’
…
There was no application for bail and Onyenaychi was remanded on two counts of attempted murder and one count of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. He will appear at the Old Bailey on March 25. PCSO Dolata was released from hospital after being treated for his injuries while Pc Madden remained in a ‘serious but stable condition’ after undergoing surgery. The officers, who were based in Ealing Borough, were checking bus fares when they were attacked at around 3pm on the busy shopping street.’”

Targeting as evidence – On the arrest on anarchist Christos Politis
On Saturday December 4, around 16:00 and while we were sitting with the comrade and friend Christos Politis in a cafeteria in a central area of Exarchia, we became witnesses of a Hollywood-esque police mission. We would soon find out the hard way we were to become co-stars.
While we were uneasily observing the 20-30 policemen standing close to us and looking at the opposite direction, we decided to leave. To my surprise I saw them moving towards Christos and when I got closer to see what’s going on, they moved towards me too. They forced us to the wall, and they gave no answers to our questions on what’s going on. Amidst protestation from people working in or visiting the area, they lead us cuffed behind our back to Akademias street. There, they put us in a police car and with the company of a noisy convoy of motorbikes and cars they lead us to GADA (Athens Police Headquarters). On the way, a policeman on a motorbike approached the window of the car we were in and, calling us with our last names, he told us we were going to pay for a lot…
Once we were there (GADA) they lead us to the 12th floor and, following orders of someone they called “chief” they lead us to a room and immediately separated us from each other. I was put in an adjacent room cuffed behind my back, facing the wall, with three hooded men guarding me. In my repeating questions on why was I there, why was I cuffed and if was accused of anything, the only answers I got were “you will see” and “when you’ll be accused of something you’ll be the first to know”. They searched me top to toe for the umpteenth time, they thoroughly noted everything I had on me, subsequently put it in nylon bags and took it away.
Time was passing by and while I was still getting no answers, at a certain point towards nighttime I heard from a nearby area a newscast talking about arrests (men-women), guns, explosives, terrorist lairs and so on. The scenario that had been already constructed hours before our adduction, was now taking shape.
Later, while I was still tied up facing a wall and deprived of any communication or eye-contact with anyone, I demanded a chair to at least sit, which they gave me. Some hours later, I heard from outside the room some people saying “let’s see him now”. The door opened, the hooded guards turned me to face it and left. Their place was taken by others who tried to interrogate me. In their typical questions, and in their prompt to make a conversation that “might help me in my present state”, and in their asking me to provide “explanations to ease my situation”, the only answer I gave was that I wanted to know if I was accused of something and talk to my lawyer or otherwise, to be let go. After insisting for a while they commented “he is not cooperating” to each other and left the room. Their place was then taken by a hooded man and a more “pleasant” guy, who suggested I didn’t turn back to the wall and to chat for a bit instead. I gave him the same answer and I turned to the wall myself. Some hours later I heard some voices saying “he is going”. They got in, untied me and said “take your stuff, you’re leaving”. While I was gathering my stuff I repeatedly asked about Christos, for whom they told me he is being held.

I gave him the same answer and I turned to the wall myself. Some hours later I heard some voices saying “he is going”. They got in, untied me and said “take your stuff, you’re leaving”. While I was gathering my stuff I repeatedly asked about Christos, for whom they told me he is being held.
Despite my 16-hours discomfort, the real discomfort began once I left GADA. While the lawyer couldn’t find out if Christos was accused of anything, I began to discover the attack of the media against me during my retention. I learned that I’m extremely “violent”, “blood-thirsty”, “ruthless” and more, according to the media. When I got home I found out that not only a search had been carried out with no witnesses apart from policemen, but also the lock had been changed. Still trying to realize what’s happening, what’s missing from my apartment and what I can do, I learn (from the media again) that my comrade Christos Politis is being charged (with non-existent evidence apparently) as a member of an armed organization, the name and actions of which were not specified. The following day in the court where the arrested of Saturday were being tried, there was a solidarity gathering. There I was informed by lawyers on the confiscation account on my apartment, which included the following “unspeakable” elements: old photographs, books, a knife inside a black holster with the inscription “Crete”, my computers, as well as a wisp of hair, which I suppose testifies to the fact that I cut my hair myself, and not the desire of the anti-terrorist sector (ATS) to have my DNA spare for any use. After I left the area of the courts, cops were waiting for me by my motorcycle. They stopped me and searched me and to my question “What now?” they told me the officer had something to tell me. After a couple of minutes, while comrades were gathering around me, they let me go. In the following two days, Christos is summarily remanded in custody, making evident that no evidence is needed, apart from the profile that the ATS concoct and leak through their cooperators, the journalists.
So the more non-existent the evidence, the more shameless the media mendacity that followed. Just like a cesspool exploding, unsigned publications emerged, which present me as a definite member of organizations and “temporarily free”, my house as a terrorist lair, and the ATS at fault for still leaving me wander free. Many comrades are photographed as members of one or another “organization”, completely unsubstantially, arrest warrants are being advertised on newscasts and so, what was already commonplace is being proven yet once more: that blood-thirsty, ruthless, cannibals and henchmen of the mechanisms of the system are the journalists and co., who reproduce this mud.
In a period of political, social and financial crisis, when the certainties provided by the system have collapsed and everything seems possible, the state, by personifying the internal enemy, by intensifying the suppression against the movement, diffuses it into all social levels. Where in the recent past in lack of evidence the state penalized personal relationships and friendships has now begun creating them in order to penalize them.
And if the state has decided to annihilate its political enemies by fabricating culprits and suspects, the journalists have undertaken the dirty work of slander and social isolation of those who are targeted.
And if the state has decided to annihilate its political enemies by fabricating culprits and suspects, the journalists have undertaken the dirty work of slander and social isolation of those who are targeted.
As of my person, I declare that I am an anarchist and the only “organization” in which I actively participate for years is the one of the social fights which promote friendly relationships, solidarity with the oppressed and the fighters, the self-organizing, the horizontal structures, the clashes for the overthrow of the state and the capital, to the freedom of all of us.

"Tha mas fate to mouti" (we'll make you eat our shit) keratea eastern attica 40km from Athens, near Lavrion.
Keratea is a town of 16.000 residents, situated in eastern Attica, 40km from Athens, near Lavrion. The site has an ancient history that has left many remains, an amphitheater, parts of the ancient fortification... As many villages in Attica, it has also a strong arbanitic tradition, that highlights values such as extended family solidarity and social cohesion, against a usually alienated authority, as well as a sense of pride and putting head to a cause. Most residents are small farmers (wine, olives etc), workers and/or unemployed, retired. During the last decade, after the construction of the international airpot at Spata (2001), and also Lavrion and Rafina ports development to unburdain Piraeus' heavy traffic, eastern Attica suffered a sort of gentrification with Athens recreational, turistic and construction firms moving eastern (this mouvement can be tracked by almost annual forest fires, taking care of what's left of Attica's "unexploited" space). Ofcourse, infrastructure and any kind of social services (even proper sewage systems) remain significantly unadequate. The suggested creation of a huge open dump would be the top of the iceberg -or the mountain of garbage- to the complete subjugation of the territory and the people to private profit, as a dangerous and typically illegal "solution" to the garbage disposal problem of all Attica is proclaimed against the will of those that will have to suffer it, and once they make clear their disagreement, they are violently repressed. No time for the old days' "negotiations" in the socialist government's "fast track" capitalism. The issue of dump constractions and garbage disposal in general has given birth to diverse militant struggles held in different parts of Greece these last years, with most significant the ones in Grammatiko (northern Attica), Neraida-Serres, Varnavas, Naxos island, Karvounari, Elliniko-Ioannina, and ofcourse Leukimmi, Corfu, where a small village manages to block the construction works and confront the police by all means for 3 years now, having one woman dead to the police violence, and many facing charges.
"We are Arbanites here, got it? We 'll take care of this on our own, they don't get it. It's gonna take an army to stop us, the riot cops are no match for us". -A local resident to "Eleutherotypia" newspaper.
The residents are argueing that creating an open dump (a large hole where all garbage is simply burried, a practice even the EU officialy condemns) in Keratea is a major environmental crime threatening the residents health and well-being, as well as the nearby archaeological sites (Ovriokastro, submitted for UNESCO protected historical monuments and sites), the Mouzaki stream as well as underground waters and minerals. Its construction serves only certain private interests, while even a state jury has decided it should be outlawed. Instead of that, the state has responded to the residents challenge with heavy repression and media slander (Since most mass-media are typically bankrupt, they are now totally dependent on state funds and publications to survive, not to mention the "normal" state-media-contractors capitalist complex).
11/12: 4:30 am: More than 700 cops (riot pigs, plain clothes ruffians, special forces) taking place inside the archaeological site and private properties, fields of the locals to scare them off. After a few hours, they decide to leave, once the district attorney suggests the work is typically illegal. On their way out, they managed to set a few fires (https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5FVXBYUo-XfEzz_kyPmOmF1qkLZ82_pVY3gGj59UiemRRfzGDitGLmvlBFFhWdwZn7E5IGV2RNzAOd-XrdAPxTdtD7zjt1Vo_AoXjEWoPTSiLal0TWj3vUdV4B1RhOPVmrACNIFQxRO0/s1600/DSC00171.JPG) on the mountain and destroy the community's festival site, and harass elder people, women and schoolkids.
12/12: 5 arrestees at Lavrion, for a street blockade in solidarity. Hundreds of people in the blockade, force the cops to retreat (https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqMpAifwlp5YIw5FISDF-XilAO7m0u5shLtNvN5uhtwgsNr5a0f1J40Ot7DoTQEuT179RLCJdhilqZrto0zXCijDaOyhwoRkijePgO9K4zyVoHOlunlmE-NiflxlUS2ad7I_1X7byufSo/s320/P1050675.JPG). The riot cops are outrageous. Extensive, massive use of molotov cocktails by the residents. journalists speaking of "groups from Athens coming to Keratea for the riots" kicked out of the blockade by residents. Another journalist gets beaten by the cops. Video from the day's clashes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTEZmG_zGko&feature=related
The minister mr. Ragkouses, announces through the media that it is not about an open dump but a processed garbage disposal center (though the work's permit clearly states it is an open dump), and that its purpose is to help with the area's garbage (though the area produces around 350 tonnes of garbage a year and the dump is planned to hold 127.000 tonnes a year: They plan to turn Keratea-Lavrio into the garbage dump of the whole Attica). The residents had filed a plan to self-manage through their communities recycling etc the garbage of the whole Lavrion area, but while the government initialy accepted it, then declined it: apparently it is better to sub-contract the work to some of their contraction business mates and turn it into a money-dump.
During the night, street lights are off where the residents stand and only work on the cops' side. The helicopter is still on.
13/12: The local students occupy/shut down their school and join their families and friends in the blockades. (https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBdzqmENxuzu1elyoRF7A43oX6smeCARKG7bJirItTrwWk0_PNRVAZCQqdNj3HDZU8Ka93Pqlc_Vjy0m4vfCprUGErszb0zliUOriJooAUxJuI5HYoAa_tY_9i1hW9g1wOo0dNsjL_G0s/s1600/162723_1783871840831_1360531010_2911131_4376699_n.jpg) Also anarchists and people of the movement gather from all over Athens. All day clashes with the cops. Massive use of molotov cocktails of local production. Urban guerilla by hundreds of small, friendly groups attacking the police forces and retreating to the village. A police bus set on fire. Many cops inured.
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SfTd6DG6eE&feature=player_embedded
Hundreds of people in the blockades. 6 arrestees after the riot police attacks, 4 of them severely beaten, supported by a police helicopter tracking down the residents on their way back. A riot police brigade targeted, surrounded and beated the mayor of Keratea (https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWmVUMqyvPxIFFJ1Dl0YsC-EkfQa8leAb6IoVmRsIgRu5Xeb7hkDz1VzyCjoneCsW629KdHtzG-k94A5WoURYWKhCAFvWA8S03NrwXusTlqHFR2Tg_MrMSzYu-XCq3SVzvWex_5haLWyE/s320/P1050690.JPG). The cops only back up so that people and medics can take him once he's beaten senseless on the ground. During the morning, the district attorney decided the work had to be temporarily stopped, but instead of ordering the police to do so, as it would be expected according to their laws, he handled the decision over, as a suggestion, to the police and the work contractor, claiming he need to get a political aprovement from the government! The media continue to slander the residents resistance as backwards and reactionary, claiming they "merely want the garbage to gather in some other town" while praising the work that would end the illegal status of 96 (a fictituous number repeated by many mass-media parrots) illegal dumps around western Attica. Athens district attorney Elene Raikou orders a police investigation on the "attempted murder" against police officers by resistant residents of Keratea, as use of firearms was reported by the cops.
"We inform you that all residents are in the streets against the riot police and we are at war!" -message from the town hall's phone machine.
14/12: More than 50 people injured up to now. 2.000 riot cops mobilized in Keratea, according to the Panattican network of urban movements. The police helicopter uses a thermal camera to spot smaller groups attacking the police lines from the sides, during the night. A riot cop brigade is sent to arrest them, turns out it was a herd of sheep. Around 300 residents and solidarians remain at the blockades during the night. Cops take over the nearby fields. In their attacks, the cops yell "run, the junta is here!". Later on the same day, the police union publish a complaint to the minister of environment, claiming they are made into boxing sacks for "irrational" reasons. "We 're now heading towards the end of our lives, don't make us go back to the battlefields in times of peace" -from the call of senior citizens of Keratea to the prime minister.
15/12: The police attack during the night. More than 1.500 residents and solidarians (Mainly people from the movement and also some youth). 2 residents arrested and much more beaten. 3 taken to a hospital. The police chased down people inside the olive tree fields. Second night of water canon use.
"Late at night a group of elders sit around and wonder: where are the anarchists to help us? -There in Athens grandpa, but they'll come. Someone reassured them. It might be a myth born through the residents' mobilizations. But dozens of residents affirm that a group of local women, of an advanced age, complained to the mayor and the city council, that they are running out of molotovs" -from an "Eleutherotypia" newspaper report
16/12: Larissa jury certifies the dump construction in Keratea is illegal and need to stop all works. The residents celebrate with a feast at the blockade. 17/12: Early in the morning, policemen vandalise the local community vehicles, on the pretext of them being used in the blockades. The police also took over a community first aid office, causing damages to the space and taking fingerprints. On their way back, they burnt down the schoolkids christmas tree. Heavy police forces around the blockades, asking passerbyers to show their IDs and allowing only neighborhood residents to pass.
An open call from Lavrion anarchists/antiauthoritarians to defend the blockades. Heavy rain and judicial procedures set many locals back.(http://antixyta.blogspot.com/2010/12/blog-post_1747.html)
"The heroic resistance of the residents of Keratea, Lavrion and solidarians from all other places give the proper answer to all recipients. If they consider everything is for sale, we reply that a people's dignity is not for sale" -from Lavrion anarchists/antiauthoritarians call.

18/12: Riot police and residents face to face at the blockade. Clashes errupt. The pigs are forced to retreat to Ovriokastro. the pigs beat to bleeding an elder resident. The municipal council of nearby Kalyvia, together with many politicians (from Socialdemocratic SYN to neofascist LAOS) announces its support to Keratea residents struggle, and asks for the creation of a local committe to play an intermediate role.
19/12: Unprovoked police attack, one 65 year old woman and a girl beaten to the ground. The residents gather again and chase the cops, 2 arrests. Negotiations to let them free. Popular assembly in the main town square. The mayor and the town's priest announce their support to the struggle... Evros: Two immigrants froze to death and news from the demostration solidarity there18/12
Friday, December 17. 2010. The dead bodies of two sans-papiers immigrants who tried to cross the greco-turkish border were discovered near Nea Vissa village. The two men from Africa froze to death. Nea Vissa is close to the city of Orestiada, were Frontex headquarters are located.
Frontex: Blood on your hands, now also in Evros region. In the end, not really surprising… Oh, you are just a coordinator?! What do you guys in Warsaw and at the border think, which cameras and patrols forced the dead to hide themselves so long and so far from urban terrain that they froze to death?
Frontex: Blood on your hands, now also in Evros region. In the end, not really surprising… Oh, you are just a coordinator?! What do you guys in Warsaw and at the border think, which cameras and patrols forced the dead to hide themselves so long and so far from urban terrain that they froze to death?
Yesterday, i.e. Saturday, the 18th of December 2010, saw a mobilisation from the Greek antiracist movement to the Evros region, where most of the border crossings happened the last months and where many hundreds of migrants are being detained under comparably horrible circumstances as in the infamous prison of Pagani.
Three busses and a number of cars converged on Fylakio (and later on Orestiada for a demonstration), where the detention centre is free standing in the middle of nowhere. No other houses closeby, just an industrial site. It is deep winter these days, snow everywhere and freezing cold, especially when the sun goes down.
Police was taking our visit very serious and had blocked access to the site with a bus and a number of riot police. A delegation of doctors, lawyers and translators was able to get inside and get in touch with the detainees, always under the watchful eyes of the staff. We also brought blankets and shoes and other basic necessities.
The inside conditions are very bad. The water pipe froze, so there is no fresh water, and the hygenic conditions are appaling, there is insufficient medical care (you have the choice between cough syrup and aspirin) and the food consists basically of sandwiches every day. There were reports about mistreatment and beatings.
While we were there, about 350 ppl were detained in Fylakio, but two weeks ago, there were about 1,000. So about two-thirds were released recently, and we suspect it was in preparation for our visit. Nevertheless, the cells were totally over-crowded, not giving adequate space to a human being, and that the detainees are never let outside, not even for a short time, is obvious from experience.
The worst however, and that brings us back to Hamis Abdalah Ghasmi, is the uncertainty. Why am I here, for how long will I stay, what will happen to me? These are the questions that are never answered. The detention period varies betwwen two weeks and several months, and apparently, asylum seekers are routinely detained for several months, while people classified as “illegal migrants” are being released earlier. Detention period is also dependent on other factors, like nationality, deportability, etc. The lawyers working in the area say they find no legal remedy to free the detainees.
The obvious question that remains is: By now, there have been numerous reports about what is going on in the Evros region. It is a well establishd fact that human right, international law, European conventions and regulations are openly breached here. The Greek government doesn’t even try to hide it, it even brought in Frontex, as if to drag down the European border guards into this mess. And indeed, according to Der Spiegel, a german magazine, the German part of the Frontex operation has asked to be excluded from certain parts of the operation. So what is the game the Greek government is playing with the lives of the migrants?

Letter of the 2 imprisoned in Avlona prisons for the Nadir case in saloniki greece
On saturday 4th of December with the upcoming demonstration that would take place for the two years since the death of Alexandros Grigoropoulos, the anarchist squat NADIR is raided and evicted by the cops who arrested all individuals found inside the building. At the same time our own cinematographic arrest also takes place where one of the three of us gets punched by an undercover cop, afterwards we were led to GADTH (thessaloniki police headquarters) where 9 hours later, one was let free while to us is announced a heavy serie of charges, that is based on the testimony of a cop that claims that he recognized us transporting the stolen items.
Since then, we are detained in Avlona prisons. We consider this action as an attack of power that has as a target the intimidation and the split of comrades making a show of force, showing its teeth to any threat that could dispute him. In this case the long expected december with an epicentre the programmed demonstrations on the 6th of the month. Also a decisive role in this attack was played by the always willing Media that aim to divert, to manipulate and to disorientate the common opinion exploiting their state and technocratic possibility. In this case not only they try to connect us with the robberies in the A.U.T. (aristotitle university of thessaloniki) but also with the arrest of the persecuted comrades in Athens.
Having taken a specific position, in the social war between the insurgents and power, our thoughts and actions are not going to stop even behind the walls of prisons as political enemies of the regime in captivity. We always knew that we might be accused and be jailed for our ideas as many other comrades before us for the struggle that we are devoted to and consciously selected.
The revolution comes into NOW and lasts FOREVER
Solidarity to all political prisoners
Freedom to all of us !!

Tubize, Belgium - March to commemorate 16 year boy shot during a robbery in a jewellery shop. Cops attacked, cars burnt
Friday, 17 December 2010
suie e cendres
Early December - TUBIZE - During a robbery in a jewellery, a youngster, Flavien (16 years), is killed by the owner of the jewellery shop. The robbers were two, they had fake weapons with them. The owner used his hunting rifle to kill one and to hold the other one, Hassan, till the police arrived. Hassan is now in prison and refuses to collaborate with the police.A few days later, friends of Flavien organised a march to commemorate their friend and to march to the jewellery. About 100 youngsters showed up next to the small city centre . The Federal Police and anti-riot squads were very present and blocked the centre completely, while the mayor prohibited all gathering. At the beginning of the march, some people started to attack the cops with stones. Then the family of Flavien arrived, asking for calm and saying literaly "we are not here to make revolution". The march ended therefore calmly.
In the days following the march, cars were put on fire in several regions around Tubize and in the French speaking part of Belgium:
8/12/2010, Tubize: car put on fire in the "Street of Democracy".
8/12/2010, Charleroi: three cars put on fire.
9/12/2010, Jemeppe: five cars put on fire on different spots of the small city.
9/12/2010, Ottignies: car put on fire on the parking of the station in the "Lane of Human Rights".
9/12/2010, Liège: four cars put on fire on different spots.
