#304 | Fascists shoot and throw molotovs at migrants’ houses in two Greek cities

Two incendiary racist attacks took place within 48 hours in Greece:

  • In Chania, Crete a group of fascists on motorbikes threw molotovs to a house where migrants reside, before disappearing. The fire caused was put off by the tenants, assisted by their neighbours.
  • On Thursday, at dawn, another group of people threw molotovs in a house in the town of Loutraki in the prefecture of Korinthia – at that time, a family of migrants with their children were sleeping inside. Immediately afterward the group shot twice toward one of the houses’ balcony doors.

According to the police both attacks were caused by “far-right” groups.

Anarchists solidarity protest outside Korydallos prison, the main prison in Athens, at the time of the change of the year. This protest happens every New Year's Eve for the past six years. This year more than 400 people took part in the protest that interacted with the prisoners inside through shouting mutual slogans and fireworks. The main slogan was "The passion for freedom is stronger that your prisons".
